Has anyone done this hairstyle before? I love the way it looks, but can't seem to get it to stay put on my hair. Perhaps I just need to learn how to use hairsticks ;)

yes, I wear my hair like this a lot.
it's easy, a little different than a bun, and stays put!

I do a very similar braid including the tuck on top, but I use spin pins across to hold the outer braid to the inner one. It's one of the times I use the short goody spin pins although if you have thick hair the regular would certainly be fine. I just personally don't have enough hair not to chance showing a tip. I tried it with one of my sticks as well and had to use a significant amount of tilting the stick forward and back to weave between the two. However, once woven, it was rock steady.

Ugh, I'd love to try that style but my hair is way too thin - the end of the braid on show would look so puny! :D

The end of the braid wouldn't show; you tuck that part in.

I'll have to try this, although I suspect my hair is too long and thick to securely tuck in.

Spidermom, I suspect you're right. I just tried it and I have too much hair. :(
