Here is a slightly "special" bun. Notice how the claspy guy (yes, I give my hair toys names like this...) is NOT closing! I got it to stay for about ten minutes total, which was a miracle in and of itself... so I had to stick it in my album, ahahaha.

Once upon a month ago, I was in a play that required my hair to be pulled back into a ponytail (amog other things).

I was exausted after the final performance (it was also my birthday) so the stress of everything caused me to simply pass out, with the ponytail still in my hair.

When I woke up, the sight was fantastic:

Not a ponytail, but anyway...I often shove my hair into a quick bun around the house. I did it today and...voila! I ended up with this!! I really like it. I will try and duplicate something a bit like it some day! On to the pics...

How'd I miss this thread?

In June, I came up with what I call the Infinity Toptail.

You make the infinity symbol, then after wrapping the length once or twice behind it, stop to lean forward, letting the tail flip forward over your head. Fix the symbol with a hairstick, nice and comfortably tight, and then carefully flip the tail back over the symbol to hang behind.

The symbol underneath is very supportive, and the airy space left under the ponytail helps keep you cool in hot weather. :sun:
