6 months anniversary woohoo!

Well, as the title suggested, it has been 6 months since I joined LHC : ) It didn't entirely change my haircare-routine, as I already knew about henna, coconut oil and things like co-wash! I have done all those things before, but learned a lot of other things here in those 6 months! I have started an obsession with (natural) hairproducts, wooden combs, to cone or not to cone?, vitamins, proteineshakes, monistat experiments, rooibos tea sprays. You name it, I've tried it! ; )

Some little hair history: I have been in the everlasting circle of: bleaching hair to death (as in, white), then make it all healthy with henna and coconut oil and grow it.. then bleach it to death (and chop!) again.. then henna... then bleach again.. etc. I never learn! But I feel that this time, with this board, it's so much easier to go through with it. My friends and co-workers get tired of my hairtalking very fast, I can assure you that ; ) So it's very nice to have found a place I can talk about hair all I want! It has definitely helped me, like some grow-therapy haha.

Anyway, this thread is nothing without pictures, of course! Oh and did I mention I have a pixie? Last time I had 'long' hair was 5 years ago, and it was only APL back then.. Right now my goal is a bob and I'll see how far I grow after that.

This was how it looked like a few months before I started growing it out (I also got a haircut a few weeks after that picture.. so when I started to grow it out, it was shorter than on this picture!). You can see that my hair was.. well.. basically WHITE. It was awesome but also very damaging.

After many, many henna applications & brown chemical dye (henna over white/lightblonde hair turns out to be NEON ORANGE! : P) and many, many trims, I decided to start over again! This was at the very end of March!

A few days ago! (And 3 months after the big chop!). Sideburns have gotten longer and it is growing! The ends feel better than before, but still not perfect. However, I WILL NOT, I repeat, NOT cut my hair again till it has reached a short bob-length -_-

I also cut my mullet. I don't do mullets.. I just.. don't. The ponytail will come later.

Today, with too much coconut oil & rooibos in it hehe : P Making my ends look weird and thin.
Anyway, as you can see, I still have a lot of layers, but it's slowly getting there. I think I will have reached bob length in about.. 3/4 months? I don't mind layers!

Which will still take a while :P I will be glad if my hair will cover my ears. The positive side with growing out a pixie is that you CLEARLY see every inch that has grown!

It's finally getting a bit longer again, it was this long and then I had to chop it because the ends were killing me, so fried!

it looks great. just hang in there when you feel the need to cut. I go through the same thing. I start growing mines and then I cut to shoulder then I grow again and cut to shoulder again and again and again. lol so frustrating. keep those scissors away from me! :P

I love your hair, it has such a pretty texture! You're very lucky to have the bone structure to suit a pixie to begin with, I looked really awful when I had really short hair as a teenager.

theodora, I can't wait till my hair gets longer and wavier again (I'm also using cones at the moments and have noticed that they weigh my hair down! No cones = more waves!)

Nice progress! And you are happy to have a face and complexion that looks good with so many colours;) The first picture is mysterious... It looks like from a magazine photoshoot, too:)
