Finally! For the first time since the crazy hairdresser chopped off my waist-length hair in 2006, I have reached BSL - the longest length I've had since that chop. I was way too depressed to grow it out right after that, so it took a considerable amount of time to get back to it. No more salons for me, though.

I ordered up a special BSL cake today to celebrate with the gals at work who know I'm obsessed with my hair. :) We actually all went in together on a group 60th Street fork order recently. I'm not sure what the cake is going to look like in the end... I had to explain why I wanted a cake made to look like a bra-strap that said "Happy BSL". Haha! She called me back in a few minutes to double-check on my hair colour, so I'm not sure what she's planning, but she said she'd had an idea. Can't wait to celebrate next week with this strange cake! I'll be sure to get pics. :p

Congrats on reaching BSL :) Sounds like fun getting a cake designed to represent the length your hair is at. Bet it will be fun for them to make :)

I just looked at your album- you're hair is an inspiration to me! I'm growing a pixie, and it's amazing to see how much growth you've gotten in two years! You're hair is beautiful.

Congratulations! I loved getting to BSL; it felt like I was actually getting somewhere. Also, cake is always a wonderful way to celebrate. : )

That is my biggest fear.. having all my progress cut off
I need to go get a trim soon, but I'm terrified.
All these horror stories are freaking me out as well :(

Congratulations!!
I was actually drawn to this thread cos since yesterday I am back to BSL again,but not in a good way.Was past waist on way to hip and went for a trim yesterday.Needless to say I'm not visiting a hairdresser for 2 years !!
So happy that you are now happy over your hair again!

Thanks everyone! I'm so happy to be back at BSL! And I can't wait to see this cake she comes up with! Not sure if I'm getting it on Monday..? I didn't give her a deadline because my boss is getting her to make a cake for Tuesday and mine doesn't have a set needed-by date.
