I could do the split bun and lazy wrap at about that length http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppzJDJ9RNmo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTt771qkO24

Hypnotica's got a good French twist tutorial that might work for you at that length.

I've fallen for the Seashell bun, as presented by LoversLullaby.

Sorry, I'm new and haven't quite figured out the whole linking thing, but if you search Seashell bun, you should find it easily.

I hold mine with a Ficcare, and love how nice and flat it lies against my head.

Hola darkrose! I am the same length (a bit shorter actually). I usually french braid my hair at the back of my head, and then tuck under the end of the braid and tie (bun) it up with a soft hairband. The braid holds up the shorter parts. It gets compliments, too.

This (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/vbjournal.php?do=article&articleid=124) might work for you, depending on how thick your hair is. The same video is available on youtube if you search for "lazy French twist".

I was going to recommend one but you said no hair sticks so it's out. So I got nothing!! I'm just curious have you tried any braids?? Your hair would be long enough for those too. :D

Definitely try out french twists and gibson tucks! They get more difficult as your hair gets longer.

Why don't you want to use hairsticks? Granted, your hair is a bit short for them to hold well at this point, but I find them to be the most secure and most comfortable way to hold my buns.

i don't know, i just dont think hairsticks suite me, and when i do use them i find that after about 3 hours they tend to slip.:/ im going to spend a day trying all the suggestions out, thanks:)
