Shorter hair for a photo shoot

My hair is BSL right now, but I've got an up coming photo shoot where they want a shorter style. I was told Gretta Garbo-esque. I don't want to cut my hair, but I also want to increase my likelyhood of getting this contract.
Does anybody have any ideas for either doing a mock-short hair do or maybe a longer do that's Gretta-esque?

Pin curls are going to be your friend. I googled Greta and saw a lot of her pictures were done with pin curls. Pin curls can eat up a ton of length and on BSL hair you still have a shot at a pretty "short" looking do, if you you use them.

I found this tutorial that might help. For some reason the girl curls her hair with a curling iron before she pin curls but I believe that it is a unnecessary step. Take a look and see if you think it might work for you! She has about BSL length hair if I am guessing right from the front.

it can help rolling your hair up on rollers while your hair is almost dry and wear them until it is completely dry, and then do like this girl does in the video:)

Look for faux bob on YouTube. I've seen a couple of different ways of pinning the hair so that it looks much shorter.
