Hi everybody! :D I just bought a new polka dot shirt that I automatically tought would be a perfect excuse for using red lipstick, winged eyeliner and letting out my 50's pin up attitude :eyebrows:
BUT
I don't know if there's a pin up looking hairstyle that doesn't involves bangs or letting my ears show ( I don't like how they look but most important, I don't like the feeling of my ears exposed, feeling the wind there makes me nuts! )
So, if anyone has any ideas, they would be very much appreciated!
Thanks!! :cheese:

Oh! and if it's suitable for waist length hair, it would be even greater! :D

http://www.youtube.com/user/LisaFreemontStreet has loads of hair styles. She does have bangs but I always used to just miss out the bits about bangs when I didn't have them.

Glory Rolls? Or Victory Rolls? Is that what they're called?

The two curled pieces at the top of the head that are rolled under, I think Gwen Stefani used to do it alot. It leaves the rest of the hair down so it can cover your ears and can be done without a fringe. I agree with Kyandii though to just miss out the bang pieces on tutorials. It'll look just as good :)

Yep, if OP searches Youtube for victory rolls, some useful stuff ought to come up, I think!

Hope you took in the link offered above. Just wandered over there and there's a bushel basket overflowing with looks that you should be able to use - even without the fringe!

You're going to be amazingly glamorous (and you're going to do a show and tell, right?!)

I was going to suggest a centered quiff/pompador, but then I got totally sidetracked with that absolutely awesome YouTube channel! Thanks for sharing that, I'm totally bookmarking that!

Thanks! but I've tried them a thousand times and I just can't get them right, and they show my ears, but maybe ir I take less hair it will look good :D
The one that I did a lot was a very high ponytail with curls, faux bangs (the problem is that they take a lot of time ) and a red ribbon at the top of the pony :D

finger waves!

I get the fingerwaves until I reach my ears, then ... the rest of the hair just never looks good  I'll need to use a waver to make them and that involves heat :(
I've tried making them with pin curls, sock curls or sponge rollers but dince I have very thick hair, and A LOT of hair, I always end up looking more like a poodle :p

Soo I tried a simple side bun the other day and pinned my hair to one side to make it look like if I had a fringe or something and I think it looked kinda nice :D
