After many years of glorious service, my brush has suddenly and dramatically died. It's a Bass nylon-bristled brush (style 22), and absolutely the gentlest brush I've ever used-- most paddle brushes seem to pull terribly. Bass doesn't seem to make them anymore and I haven't had any luck on Ebay. :( Does anyone know where I could find something similar?

(It has a very soft rubber pad, wood back, and nylon bristles. As you can see, the rubber is cracking terribly. There are a few bristles down inside the brush now, and the row that's missing so many bristles? There's a crack running between the holes that's almost all the way through the rubber.)

I recommend a denman to everyone who asks me about hairbrushing. The bristles are seamless, it can be used in the shower, easy to take apart and put back together... feels so good against my scalp, better than a comb, much better than a BBB (which I do use with a drop of oil at night on my length only). Just amazing. I bought mine on amazon, cause I live in the boonies, but I know they have them at sally's.

Denman brushes are a good choice, but the Body Shop also has a couple of nice ones.

I'm going to recommend a Tangle Teezer.... if you don't like it, you're only out ten bucks -- but based on what I've seen here, probably 95% of the people who get one end up loving it!
