So I've heard online that after washing your hair and putting in a few drops of honey on damp hair it would make it shiner. I tried it out last night, microwaved a few drops of honey in a bowl, put it in my damp hair and put it in a bun for the night. I woke up, undid my bun and i had deep waves and a few ringlets here and there where my hair is usually only slightly wavy. The honey acted like a gel for me and held my waves. I'm wondering if anyone has tried using honey in there hair and if so, how did your hair turn out?

Would that not leave your hair sticky?

If you use too much then it would.

Yes, honey does make your hair curl more because it is a humecent? [sorry if I misspelled] and it holds the curl giving it moisture. My hair is 3b on the top 3a/3bish on the bottom and 2c strands on the sides and when I use honey added to my conditioner or gel or whatever.. my curls look good, curlier, and soft. Though if you use too much it can make your hair look stringy :/

I make my own hairspray that includes honey:

Simmer a sliced lemon in a cup of water for about 2 hours
Pour into squirt bottle
Add a generous squeeze of aloe gel and a teaspoon or two of honey
Add rubbing alcohol or vodka as a preservative

Holds like a rock! :)
