Title says it all. I'm bored with my hair. Style-wise, that means.

Would you all be too kind to share with me your favourite style? Be it a picture of your own or a picture you've seen somewhere. A tutorial or a video. Vintage, classy, crazy.. Anything. I'm curious to try them all :o
I'm actually thinking of going to Claire's and get some colorful hair pieces to add to my braids. Always wanted to do that.

Thank you! :flower:

EDIT:

I should add, I've seen and tried (the ones that suit my length, anyways) pretty much all the hairstyles featured in the articles section.

A lazy wrap bun is good, my favourite is a Chinese braided bun and a rose bun. I recently learnt how to do a 3 strand rope braid i put it in a rose bun today

But i love it when two more strands are added to fill in the "gaps".

Rope braids or these pretty double hawser(cable)braids

Ah, good 'ol Tprrin. I think I've tried pretty much all of her hairstyles at least once :crush:
I can't do that cable braid, though, it eats the s*** out of my length, so it looks kinda pathetic on me, I think. When it gets longer, I'm definitely keeping that in mind :D

I like to shake things up now and then style-wise too. :) Some things I've experimented with recently which turned out well:

Habioku's version of the Elling Woman bun (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cL2jGJvMBI4)
Five-strand braid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nz7FlauLlDE) (I liked this folded up and pinned in place with a hairstick)
Box braid (I find things get a bit loose and messy at the top, so I add a hair-friendly barrette above the braid to keep it orderly once I'm done braiding)
Janis Cortese's "Upbraided" (http://www.prismnet.com/%7Ecortese/hair/styling.html#upbraided)

And don't forget your old favorites! Sometimes a style drops out of my rotation for so long that it seems new and fresh when I go back to it!

That is exactly how I do the Elling updo! I was never able to figure out the 'real' version from a written tutorial :o

Five strand should be a real challenge. I can do the 4 strand, but only with very wet hair (it's too slippery)
Will try the five strand tonight, after washing. Thanks for the tip :D

There's one I learned recently called A Caulazian, where you do a lazy wrap half-up then divide the remaining hair on the bottom in two, then wrap it around your little lazy wrap as if it's a chinese bun. It's good for accessories you've outgrown.

There's also the seashell bun...my internet is being ****, so you can google it :)

From what I've seen, the Seashell bun is an upside down Nautilus bun. I thought I was doing the Nautilus all the time, guess I'm not :p
I also looked up the Caulazian, it's actually pretty neat :D
Thanks for the tips!
