I'm thinking about purchasing a metal hair fork from this seller. She has good feedback but I was wondering if an lhc member has bought an item from her.

Thanks!

I have :) I have two and a pair of matchsticks. They're really lovely, have great customer service, and I'd definitely recommend them :)

I have the Sakura one in copper and the cherry blossom one in silver/aluminium, and the matchsticks in copper and the dark green beads.

Which fork were you planning to get?

I was reading through reviews yesterday and found a couple on these forks here! http://reviews.longhaircommunity.com/showproduct.php/product/430/cat/10

I'm torn between an amethyst bloom one or a garnet bloom one... they're so gorgeous and cheap! :p

I have one, a copper butterfly fork, it's gorgeous and so well made. I love it, holds like a rock :)

Do you have any pics of them in updos? Just out of curiosity. I think I'm going to buy this one: http://www.etsy.com/listing/69098831/hair-fork-5-inch-the-twist-custom-colors Its simple and it looks really good in the model's hair. I can't decide if I like the copper or silver more. Ah!

I also like this one: http://www.etsy.com/listing/61980715/hair-fork-5-inch-medusa-copper-swirls

And this one:

Pretty much all of them:p

What is your current hair colour? :) The model used in this listing has red hair and the garnet looks beautiful on her http://www.etsy.com/listing/61928683/hair-fork-4-inch-garnet-blossoms-custom

Thank you jel for posting those links!
Mods, could you please merge all the threads about this seller? It would probably make it easier to look up in the future.

My current hair colour is same as in my display picture, a dark henna colour! Purple is my favourite colour by far, but those garnets are to die for. :p

I have 2 of her forks:

Sorry for the huge images, I'm too lazy to upload them to another server; these are straight from Etsy.

I really like her stuff, and I especially like that her prices are still reasonable.

I like mine, but the copper has discolored quite a lot. Maybe copper requires special cleaning or polishing.

I like my tree and moon fork with amethyst, the only thing is that the wire wrapping can tangle with my hair and I always break a couple of strands when I use it. I personally don't care that that happens, but I know it can be a big problem for some forum members, so I like to mention it.

Thanks for mentioning that, I wondered if that was the case with some of the more complex wire work. Still, there are plenty of smooth designs to choose from!

Your hair colour is unreal. So beautiful. If you end up buying one of her forks post pics here :)

A word about copper and silver oxidizing (the discolouration) - you can get polishing cloths for both silver and copper. It doesn't take much work at all to bring the shine back up :) I'm not sure where you'd look, but I'd think a good homewares or kitchenware shop could at least point you in the right direction - silver cloths are used for silver cutlery and copper cloths for pots and ornaments, to keep them shiny. Discolouration is normal - it just shows it's real metal.

My boyfriend's a jeweller though so I cheat - he polishes them on his machine :D

I have several of her forks saved in my favorites :) I really like the look of them.

You can also clean copper with ketchup. Makes it nice and bright again.

Nightshade, I just love this picture. That fork and your hair are a perfect match, absolutely gorgeous :crush:

I'm also having a bit of coat envy, fluffy winter jackets are one of the things I miss the most about living up north. If I ever moved back it would be primarily for the winter clothes :D

I've got three of her forks now, all in aluminum - a plain round, a sakura, and a blue moon. They are really, really good. Very sturdy and well-made. A++, happy to enable, will probably buy again :-).

Heh, I LOVE my faux-furry hoodies :inlove: The not-fun part is that photo was taken in the house. I spend about 6 months of the year freezing to death. My ideal temperature for jeans, a sleeveless shirt and bare feet is about 80-85.

The fork does blend with my hair, and while 99% of the time I go for silver as a contrasting metal, I really do like the copper leaf fork.
