Let's see 'em!
I just found mine in a drawer, and couldn't find a thread on this, so I would love it if those of you that use them and have favorite styles would show them off for the rest of us! :D

Er...I don't have photos.

But with two spin pins I an do a quite ballerina cinnabun on the top of my head that I really like. I also use them to secure chinese buns (my hair hates bobby pins).

I just bought my spin pins yesterday! I love them! So far, all I have done is make double buns and secure them with the spin pins. I could not believe how securely these things hold hair. I am hooked- thanks LHC.

I just bought spin pins yesterday, too except I got the minis. I have been practicing using them and so far I love them! They hold my hair really well. When I get better at it, I will post pics. :)

The spin pins I recently got are a little big for my hair at the length it is now, so I'll let you know what I do with them when I get the smaller ones :)

@Carmenvanessa-
Wow, those are great pics and lovely styles! Your hair is beautiful, too. I really like the 3rd and 4th pic. Any tips on how you created these styles?

aww thanks
The 3rd pic I made a french twist without tucking in the top. I used the first spin pin through the top right corner of the twist and the second spin pin through the bottom of the twist and adjusted until it felt secure. Then I just left top loose.

The 4th pic I divided 1/3 of my hair at the top and clipped it aside while I worked on the bottom. I took the bottom and made a french twist, the same as the 3rd pic, putting the first spin pin in the middle right side. Then I took the top 1/3 of my hair and twisted counter-clockwise and coiled it like a pin curl over the loose hair from the bottom twist smoothing it so that it coils together and stuck the second spin pin in there on the right side until it felt secure.
Hope that makes some sense ;)

Does this count? I made my first Chinese Bun, today, and had to secure a straggly bit with a spin pin.

Plain and simple cinnabun with spin pins (one of my go-to styles). You can just see the end of one of the spin pins poking out in this picture!

I really have been away for a while...what are spin pins? Are they anything like hair scroos?

I reckon I might be able to use something like these.

Beautiful updo's!
The comment about hair hating bobby pins: that so is me!
I've never tried spin pins:thinking would be a variation on bobby pins;now I think I will!

So you guys think the spin pins were worth the money? The commercials advertising them set the bar pretty high, so I don't want to get them and be disappointed...

These (http://www.amazon.com/Goody-Simple-Styles-Spin-Color/dp/B003FVDNO6) are spin pins.

I love my spin pins! I've only used them to secure a cinnamon bun so far. Actually, I wasn't aware they could be used to secure any other styles.

I know jojo uses them for Figure 8 buns!

I can only use them in a bee butt bun and cinnamon bun. With my length and thickness, I still can't experiment with the Figure 8 yet

I don't have a pic but I like to put my hair in a crown pony take sections about the thickness of a finger, twist them until they double up on themselves then secure with spin pins (i use about 8!) and you're left with a mass of shiny coils. Looks better with BSL to waist but is cute now at shoulder/APL.

I did this today:

Only needed a single spin pin! Man, I love those little things. I couldn't get it comfortable with a fork, but this way, no problem.

Do you think spin pins can work for my 3a/3b Mid-back length with out getting stuck and cause damage?

I'm afraid to answer since my hair is the opposite of yours, but I think another member with hair more similar to yours, GRU, has used them successfully. :)

I have a set of decorated spin pins by Senzalimiti (http://www.senzalimiti.net/deutsch/kollektion/sonstiges/Noch%20mehr%20Haar.htm)that I like a lot. I specifically like them in french twist styles like this:

Ramona, yours is beautiful!

And thank you. :) Mine is a flipped bun, which is basically an inside-out cinnabun - there are a couple of tutorials on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBZBeEvzPHg). I just learnt it, and I've a feeling I'll be wearing it a lot. *g*

I bought a pack of three spin pins last week and wow do I love them, dramatic improvement on the old bobby pin. So many things I can do with just two pins, incredible!

Schweedie, that flipped bun is elegant, you did a beautiful job with it.

I've got a slew of these suckers and use them in every single style!

They are particularly great in that they hold the style so securely on only two or three pins, at the most (normally). AND they don't harm the prongs of my hair combs like the wide plastic thingies I think are from Goody, which have been known to break comb prongs and make me cry.... :o(

So, every single style I do contains my spin pins! And wouldn't 'ya know - today I washed it and it's the one day I let it all hang out, so no spin pin styling.

I just love these pins and I've been using them for a very, very long time - since I first found the small ones being offered on eBay, probably two years ago and maybe longer?

Funny how it seems like the world has suddenly found these! I guess it must be due to the fact that a household name, "Goody," is selling them now and you can get them in stores, not just online.

If you're like me, you will find it is your "go-to" style when the morning is going way south on you and you've got to do something quite with your hair.

I'd never heard of it until I bought something from Graydog and the insert pamphlet featured this style with the instructions. I've been using it - and loving it! - ever since!

The beauty of this style is it is great on any hair type and on most hair lengths. It's like the all-around perfect do!

I usually have a spinner at each side and then insert a comb, that is sort of tucked in. Looks so nice.

I just found this style recently myself which means my Lonely Ficcare has a use now.

How are you removing them? I find that if you grab the round end, and just slowly unspin the opposite way you originally inserted/spun them in, they are tangle-proof.

My hair gets tangled very easily (as in, 3 minutes after brushing it and walking across the room I can't run my hands through it) and I use these without issue all the time, even to run and dance.
