What celebs do you admire for their naturally long hair? I think
Jerry Hall (http://www.mydaily.co.uk/2010/12/29/jerry-hall-elizabeth-jagger-harrods-sale/)(and her daughter), Angelina Jolie (http://cristinahh.wordpress.com/2011/05/12/angelina-jolie-in-salvatore-ferragamo-kung-fu-panda-2-photocall-cannes-2011/), Christie Brinkley (http://www.hollywoodpix.net/pictures/christie-brinkley/picture/6728)are some that have favored long hair for a while. Year after year we see them in long hair styles, and I never tire of it! They also don't dramatically change colors (Angelina did go blonde for some movie, but I think it was a wig). They also seem to be aging naturally (aside from the dye) which is refreshing compared to many Hollywood/models stars. Of course, maybe they are masters of deception and have had loads of extensions and surgeries, but I certainly can't tell!

I'm not sure which celebrities have real hair or fake hair... they can be very tricky! Plus, I don't pay attention to them enough to notice if their hair grows suddenly... I like how Kim Kardashian's hair looks, but I KNOW she wears extensions.

When I see a celebrity who goes from short to long in a matter of months you know it is fake. It is also suspiscious when you see someone with two different lengths of hair (the long ones are often extentions). I'm very skeptical when a 5'10, 100lb model/celebrity whose bones are sticking out has long, thick, healthy hair- chances are it is fake since hair is the first thing to go when malnutrition comes into play.

I'm pretty sure most wear extensions or wigs. It's yet another "unattainable" thing for regular hair. Perfect hair all the time, no matter the color, length or style.

Lauren Conrad had pretty long hair for a while. I'm not sure if she had extensions though, but it looked pretty natural to me!

I always wanted to look like Crystal Gayle when I was little. It is true that it is hard to tell what is natural these days. I like Miley Cyrus' and Lindsay Lohan's length but...

Well, I don't think it's fair to assume they all wear extensions. I doubt Jerry Hall does, for example, as she's always had long hair (and she does also seem to be aging naturally which is very encouraging, as you can *gasp* see lines on her face).

Just as some of us on LHC have weaker hair and stronger hair, so will celebrities. Some will have strong enough hair that allows them to grow to BSL+ and still look great despite the styling etc.

And as it is, they tend not to have SUPER long hair either. A lot of people's hair can take a certain amount of damage up to a certain point, but if they don't want to grow it longer than that point, it's okay.

I tend to assume people have natural hair unless I know for sure it's grown dramatically longer in a short period of time lol. Maybe that's naive of me, but I'm pretty sure that there are celebs who are rocking their very own long hair!

I've always thought Demi Moore had gorgeous hair--so glossy and healthy looking. I've been admiring it for years. She may occasionally enhance it with extensions, but I'm pretty sure her hair is naturally beautiful, and she's kept it long over most of her career. I've also noticed, she not one to change the color often (if ever).

It is hard to tell when celebs have extensions, but I think some like Jane Seymour and Jerry Hall have long favored long hair and seem to wear it naturally down a lot. One that I thought was natural, Katie Holmes (since it isn't that long and she often wears it casually), wears extensions though, so I guess it's nearly impossible to know for sure.

There have got to be some celebrities with their own long hair, but I honestly think the HUGE majority of them wear extensions due to their excessive heat styling, coloring, use of damaging products and also since so many celebrities are starved stick insects, their hair is going to be bad due to their lack of nutrition. Real hair or fake hair, it looks gorgeous either way lol.

Metalheads usually have the best hair.Oh Tarja!Oh Simone! They are my favorite singers.I'm not sure about Tarja's hair though. In the video of Sleeping Sun(1999) she has short red hair.I think that by the time they recorded Once(2005) they(the hair) can't have reached her current length. But It's my opinion.Maybe they could.

When it comes to long hair, my favourite actress is the irish Katie McGrath. I think she has amazing hair in the Adventures of Merlin. Not sure if that's her actual length but it could be cause so far I haven't found any pictures of her with short hair. I love her! (so to speak)

I think Mila Kunis has beautiful hair and I think it is real:)

Lindsay Lohan's hair is nice but she has some extensions. In looking at old photos of her as a child actress I think her hair is naturally as thick and beautiful as it is now.

I love Kristen Stewart's hair texture. She would have beautiful long hair if she chose to grow it.

I love Miley Cyrus's hair too. I am not sure if it is real though.

Esperanza Spalding's hair is so gorge (it's all hers too) I had to put her in my avatar. I'm not sure how long her hair is stretched but I do know that you need a lot of length to have a shrunken/picked fro of this size. It's even bigger when she blows it out:

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y97/racheru/esperanza_spalding-2.jpg

I'm surprised I've never seen Molly C. Quinn mentioned before - she plays Rick Castle's daughter on the TV show Castle. Even though I have a preference for big hair - I'm an 80's child, what can I say? - Everytime I see this girl's hair my first thought is, "she must be on a hair board," my second thought is usually, "awww she's so cute!" You'd have to watch the show to see what I mean. I believe it's her hair too. Here's a pic but it doesn't really do it justice:

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y97/racheru/molly-1.jpg

As far as celebs who aren't in the limelight much anymore go...Ananda Lewis:

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y97/racheru/ananda-1.gif

(her hair was a-mazing! She also gave me the 3 hair growing tips that took my hair to a length it had never been before). Don't forget Alanis Morissette before she cut it, and Topanga from Boy Meets World (sorry don't know her real name...just remember the hair ::giggles::)

I think many stars use extensions for thickness, rather than length. Such as Megan Fox--she uses extensions to thicken up her hair (just read an allure magazine article about her), and many other actresses. I know Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman had extensions for Practical Magic, as did Brooke Shields in the Blue Lagoon.

In fact, the very long haired people that truly had naturally long hair, that I admired, was Jane Seymor and Crystal Gayle.

Lindsay Lohan has extensions as she's admitted that---sadly, with the way these people party and use drugs/alcohol and diet, they would have very thin, brittle hair---it just comes with that lifestyle plus what they put their bodies through.

Shame really :(

Gwyneth Paltrow has natural hair. I remember in one magazine when she talked about growing and maintaining long hair, she mentions that she has it "dusted" (1/8 in trim) regularly.

I love Amanda Seyfried's length and color, which is natural too!

And if I'm going to do music then we can't leave out Marco Heitala (http://files.myopera.com/hakunamatata203/albums/704502/Marco%20Tapani%20Hietala.jpg) from Nightwish.
And if you want here is his hair in action ;) LOL

His last name is actually Hietala :) And yes, he has great hair. I remember once when he was a guest in a cookery show here and the female host asked "how did you get your hair so long", and he replied "I just don't cut it" (if I remember right)... :D

And oh mine, that video, love it, it used to be one of my favourites, years ago :) I must say Nightwish in general is (or at least used to be) a great band for "hair eye candy" ;)

I think they are all natural haired, at least by the pictures it all looks very natural to me.

My favourite of all time is Ruslana Korshunova, pity she's not among us anymore.

Alanis Morissette, Chaka Khan, Marion Raven, Bartek Borowiec and Jamie Burke.
And maybe there's more, is just that right now, these are the one you came to my mind.

I do believe that GP does have natural hair. I remember being a little disappointed a few years ago when she cut her hair into a bob (although it looked lovely on her), but I think she's back on the wagon, lol.

I think that Sarah Jessica Parker's hair is real, I read an interview in which she said her hair would be much thicker if it weren't styled so much for movies, events and such. She also said something about one of her sisters having amazingly thick virgin hair, but I digress... I remember really disliking the shorter haircut on her at the very end of the 4th and throughout the 5th seasons of SATC, it just didn't work with her curly hair. Since that time, I've not seen her with hair shorter than APL, I think she prefers keeping it longer.

Does Demi Moore wear extensions? She's been wearing it long the last few years, even though she can wear both very short and long styles and still look pretty. I've always loved her hair, especially the color.

In her screen test video for Harry Potter, she's got collarbone length hair so I doubt her hair suddenly went to knee length in time for the movie.

Another favorite of mine, though her hair is not super long, is Taylor Swift's. I think it's so awesome that even though she went from a natural light blonde to dark, she decided to rock her dark blonde hair rather than get highlights or dye like so many other actresses and musicians.

Lauren Conrad's hair is one of my personal favourites, but I'm completely undecided about natural vs extensions. We must also note that celebrities tend to favour layered, styled looks, as opposed to blunt ends with braid waves (or something similar and LHC-ish :))

That makes it awfully difficult to tell if they're wearing extensions or not, because the layers disguise it!

I've got to say that Amanda Seyfreid has, by far, one of the nicest and healthiest looking heads of hair I've seen on a celebrity

She is my all time favorite actress with that beautiful long healthy looking hair, and also Crytal Gayle. I've always wanted natural long hair like Crystal Gayle.

I also love Sandra Bullock's hair too in the movie, "Love Potion No.9." I also loved the color and the length. Another one I have to say is, Lysette Anthony. She's got a gorgeous head of blonde hair. I watched The Oscars this past weekend, and I saw Sandra Bullock. I thought she looked attractive. Of course she's applying a lot of product on the hair to make it all shiny like that, and to behave well.

I saw Angelina Jolie and noted she seems to have lightened her hair. I don't think she needs to do that, really. I also thought she looked nice, but what the heck was that pose about? I assume some kind of insider joke that I'll never be privy to. But I must confess, she's entered the realm where sleeveless may not be her friend anymore. She had the beginnings of those wiggly underarms that so many women achieve in later life. Either she needs to consider sleeves OR she needs to really exercise her arms. I also felt that she was too skinny, and the red lipstick was too loud on her. She's a lovely woman, but I don't think she needs all that. I'm pretty sure Brad will like her with less going on. Fairly certain.

But what do I know?

LOL

I liked that the one Black lady -- what is her name? -- in a forest green dress wore her real hair as opposed to her usual wig.

I don't think there's any need to sew gold into dresses. There are people starving out there! Crimeny!

I admire Kate Mara's hair in the film Ironclad :

I think her sister Rooney Mara also has pretty terrific hair.

All the girls from pretty little liars have gorgeous long hair and hairstyles! I watch for the fashion and hairstyles lol

I agree, I find the show itself sort of lacking and I attempted a book and couldn't get past the first chapter but I occasionally watch parts of the show just for the set designs, the fashion, and their hair and makeup. One of the girls was a spokesmodel for Pantene.

Crimeny!

Angelina Jolie's natural color is actually dark blonde, maybe she's trying to go back a bit?

and as for the dresses, most of them are given to the celebrities by the designers. It's advertising for them, because people see a chanel dress that's beautiful, and therefore want something that's Chanel. Rich people buy the ready to wear clothing (because NO ONE can afford couture, less than 200 people in the world actually), middle class buys the accessories, such as bags and belts and sunglasses, and us poor people buy the smallest bottle of perfume haha. I agree that there's better things to spend money on, but I admire the world of couture, as it is the only thing keeping some sewing and clothing traditions alive today. Most actual couture is almost all hand sewn.

Sorry for the rant. Argh crazy fashion student here. :/

I agree that Angelina Joile have really nice hair, i seen pictures of her with at least waist lenght hair in black.

I also love Nina Dobrevs hair, i read somewhere she wash her hair only three times a week and is very cautious using hot tools (she told that in one interview).
She from front (http://patpoh.fooyoh.com/attach/3/201201131218873412.jpg) and back (http://fashionistabarbieuk.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/NinaElieSaabTwitter.jpg), oh and i just love that green dress :o

I'd love to see her blonde ... Isn't it amazing how blondes go brunette or red?

Ella (Holly Marie Combs) has the best hair on that show! I watch it for her.
