One year at LHC: from APL/BSL to waist (pictures)

Yep, an entire year on here! The first picture was taken a couple of days before I joined.

These next before shots were taken in July. I hadn't gotten around to doing proper progress shots back then, so I just put on the same bra/top for comparison now, heh.

I've gotten regular trims throughout the year - small ones (no more than half an inch) every 12 weeks, so I've lost some length along the way. Still, my hair is longer than it's ever been before, and I love it! The plan is to keep growing over summer, and then come September see where I'm at. If I like that length, I'm going to start maintaining there.

I wouldn't have gotten to this point without these boards and everything I've picked up on here, so thank you!

Aw, thanks. :) Yep, all natural. Although that last picture isn't too accurate colour wise, I don't think - it changes a lot depending on the light, but I think the top right or the middle right are closest.

Hee, we'll see! Who knows, in September I might want to keep going! But I wear my hair down a lot, and I'm pretty sure I'm not going that much longer. Definitely not past hip, in any case. (...I think.)

Rini and bunzfan, it makes me giggle that you think my hair is thick. In a good way, I mean! I'm really in the bottom half of ii. Just goes to show that 1a/b hair definitely benefits from brushing and a quick headbang when you want it to look thicker! There's a big difference between that and simply airdried, unbrushed hair.

I have admit it's so nice to hear this - I disliked my colour for quite a while since it used to be lighter and less yellow, and wanted so badly to lighten it, but recently I've finally started to embrace the golden-ness!

Actually, I can't say that I did. Not for any length of time, anyway - I took biotin for a while but stopped since it aggravated my seborrheic dermatitis, did castor oil a few times which definitely seemed to reduce shedding, but found applying it too much of hassle to keep up with it. I do drink a lot of water, but not specifically to stimulate hair growth. *g*
