Since I joined LHC I’ve learned a lot of things about hair care but they might work or not depending on everyone’s particular hair (things such as oiling, washing and combing methods, etc.)

So I was just wondering… are there any universal tips for hair care? Is there something that works for every single hairy head in the world without fail and no matter what your hair type is?

Probably just the tips to avoid damage such as no/minimal heat styling and no rubbing hair dry with a towel.

I'd say they would be the universal tips.

Patience.

Keeping an eye on your hair to see if something is damaging it (and if so, eliminating that something or coming to terms with the damage it causes).

That would be about it. Everyone's hair is very different. As is everyone's lifestyle and everyone's goals. A good example is heat styling or chemical dying. Yes, (some) people can get nice "long" hair whilst still doing those things. That statement is perfectly plausible for someone who defines "long" as waist or TB but rather less so if "long" means knee+.

Gentle treatment. There will always be those lucky few who can break all the 'rules' and have their hair still look amazing, but for those of us in the other 99% - gentle handling, especially when detangling, helps a lot in preventing splits.
