Is it Ok?

Is it ok, if I leave my hair dark for a year, not put any more dyes on it and then in a year when my hair has had a rest, have some highlights done?

If your hair is in good condition a small amount of bleach is generally OK, but try to get in applied so that it doesnt quite touch your scalp. That way any damage can grow out without affecting the scalp too much.

I would imagine highlights would be fine. For many people it depends on your own belief in what is best for your hair, some people religiously wont use anything, but many people with beautiful long hair do use some bleach/dye.

Remember not to dye over or re-bleach too soon after getting it done :) and do lots of moisture treatments and general TLC

Yes I i had blonde hair which i dyed dark then got fed up went back blonde, which didnt go to well, so went back dark, am thinking of leaving it a year then getting maybe half a head
