How do you use stretch combs?

I don't know how to use them. They're not actually combs... They're shaped like a circle. Could you use them to hold up a bun?

You use a Flexi-comb like an Alice band (http://www.hairboutique.com/tips/DavidBeckham_250h.jpg), an inch or two away from your hairline to hold your bangs and nape flyaways back. Sorry about the DB pic, I was really struggling to find a pic on Google Images!! :o
