For as long as I can remember I've used the medium/small alligator clips to keep my hair in a twist.
These: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31XwLI5oARL._SL500_AA300_.jpg
Before joining TLHC, I was a religious dyer (dark brown) and hot tool advocate. These clips always fit my peacock twist just fine.
I haven't touched dye or hot tools (save for a short stint with a curling iron for an interview or two) in four months, and I've been taking biotin and a multi vitamin religiously.
As of today, I can barely fit my peacock twist in these clips! I feel like I'm hallucinating! Just when I feel like it's not growing fast enough....it expands in thickness! Wow, this board is amazing. These tricks really do pay off! I have a feeling I don't even know what my real hair is going to look like.
