Everyone here seems to rave about this brand, but when I went to their site, many of their conditioners have alcohol denatured as the 4th ingredient! "Water, cetyl alchol [this is a moisturizer], aloe juice, alcohol denatured [this is rubbing alcohol and is drying]"... this seems crazy to me! I am betting it is in there to make the conditioner spread and not cause buildup, but how is it that so many people here who take such good care of their hair don't have problems with this?

(I am not trying to criticize people here... just want to know how this works and doesn't cause problems before I buy any for myself.)

AFAIK alcohol is drying when it is allowed to evaporate off hair or skin (as it would with a styling product) as it is water-soluble so takes moisture from the hair with it. I'd guess it is not drying when heavily diluted by the water from the shower and rinsed off?
