View Full Version : LHC Germany - Lots of Links

I raised the idea of bringing back the old "LHC Germany - More than just Wurst" thread in our newly founded social group for German LHCers. Callista quite rightly pointed out that the purpose served by that thread really should be largely covered by the social group itself.

Still, when I tried to compose a list of hair related links within the context of the social group I found the different format (as well as the size of the window to type in) rather limiting. Having the editing feature taken away from me felt a bit like having both hands tied behind my back, typing the message with my nose... :D

So I thought it might be a good idea to get a thread started just for collecting hair-related links from the German speaking realm. That way we keep the advantage of an easily accessible, searchable and amendable list, while the discussion part of the old thread now stays with the social group.

Anyway - here's my list (further additions most welcome):

Hair Toys and Tools

Senza Limiti (http://www.senzalimiti.net/public/kollektion/kollektion.htm) (pricey but gorgeous hair sticks and clips)

Kostkamm (http://www.kostkamm.de/index1.htm) (handmade combs - horn and wood - and brushes, also some unusual hair sticks, barrettes and other hair toys)

Wooden hair sticks with Australian Aboriginee designs (http://www.australien-lifestyle.de/page/shop/flypage/product_id/1884) (yes, this is a German shop!)

eBay DE - superschoen01 (http://beauty.search.ebay.de/_Haarpflege_W0QQcatrefZC12QQfrppZ50QQsacatZ47879QQ sassZsuperschoen01) (cheap wooden and bone hair sticks, forks and slides)

nice, thanks for this!

What about Spinnrad?

Also, I seem to remember having some kind of list - 'cone free, or good cheap 'cone products, as well as places for hair toys?

Sometimes I feel really alone as a person interested in healthy long hair here in Germany...there are so many people with BSL length hair who bleach, tease, and otherwise process, and so many (friends, family) who have no idea about long hair (and tell me to cut mine!).

I hope to be a good example eventually and have pretty hair that people ask about, though I know the tendency to not give/take compliments might prevent this, having had bad experiences complimenting other peoples' hair...

Thanks for starting this thead, katharine.

Katze, I don't make the same experience like you with compliments - I both get a lot of them and I also love to give them, but of course I can only speak about myself...

I will go through my links and post them later,

Just in case anybody is wondering about seeming doubling-ups: I've amended the above list to include Spinnrad and the Langhaarnetzwerk.

(I think we had a hairtoy links thread in our previous incarnation where the original list was regularly amended by the thread starter to include new links that had been mentioned in the thread. I thought I might try to do the same in this thread.)

Please add www.behawe.com for natural hair care supply. They have a big range of stuff and deliver very quickly.

Also www.seifenparadies.de might be interesting, cause they have many shampoo bars to offer.

http://www.kaufrausch-hamburg.de/haarschmuck/

...is one of the very few places that sells Ficcares in Germany. IIRC they used to have an online shop, too, but it seems to be offline. They might do some sales by phone, though.

They are definetly worth a visit when in Hamburg.

Please add www.kosmetikmacherei.at to the list of Natural Hair Care Supplies. It's an Austrian shop and they ship to Germany.

Also www.seifensieder.at might be of interest for shampoo bar users. :) They now also ship to Germany.

Now how cool is that?
I adore the V05 conditioner... but ouch, 5,90€ for something that costs a buck over at the US... No conditioner for me, but good to know nonetheless!

I love Bluebell (http://www.everyoneweb.com/Bluebell/)'s hairsticks with matching ear drops. She's a Netherlander but it's easy and cheap to order and ship from the NL.

Her page has some nice pictures of updos, too. (For some, her sticks may be a bit on the short side, though.)

I ordered some shampoos and stuff I didn't find in shops from Keinplunder (http://stores.ebay.de/keinplunder), an Ebay shop. Ebay as well: Daloxa (http://stores.ebay.de/daloxa)and Aromawelt (http://stores.ebay.de/moderne-Aroma-Welt)for essential oils and carrier oils.

That Senza Limiti stuff is amazing. I can't work out if they sell outside of Germany.
