What do you think of my growth rate? I know it's below average, which is frustrating. :rolleyes: I have had one trim a year, averaging an inch and a half each time, to get rid of unevenness and layers.

Your growth rate looks similar to mine (me in June 2010 (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/album.php?albumid=2443&pictureid=77950), me in May 2011) (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/album.php?albumid=2443&pictureid=103191)

We can't all be turbo-growers! Your hair looks great.

You have beautiful hair, I love the color. :) My hair grows pretty slow, too... I'm certain I don't get half an inch a month. But for hair like that, the wait would be worth it.

Guessing from your pictures, which is a little hard to do, I think it is also possible you had a little extra trimmed off and have an average (or maybe ever so slightly less) growth rate. You are making great progress though because you went all the way from a bob to BSL :D

That is wonderful progress over the past year and a half! Your ends are much thicker and healthier than they were last year. I also love the auburn red color. Continue with the awesome progress. :flower:

This is also what I thought. Are you sure you only had 1" or so trimmed off? It just looks to me as if you've had more off the back than the bits at the side, as the ends look a lot blunter. It may have been 1" of the side bits, and more off the back?? The first year's growth looks more than the 2nd, which makes me wonder if the trim was actually a bit more!

Anyway your hair looks lovely and in another year I think you'll be surprised at how long it actually is!

Oh, and looking at the last two pictures again... I think the perspective is quite different. They don't look that much different in length, but on closer inspection, in the first you're above APL (I'd say about 1" from APL) to a solid BSL in the second, which looks at least 4" longer than the first when you look at the body markers. It's just that the way the pictures were taken, the length on the second doesn't look a lot more than the length on the first, but I think it's actually quite deceptive! You've also got natural wave in your hair which can subtract quite a bit of length too.

It looks like average growth rate to me- you achieved a millstone every year. 2009-2010 you went from shoulder to APL, 2010-2011 you went from APL to BSL.

Sure the growth rate may be a little slow but you have definatly made progress plus your hair is noticeably thicker. :)
