Constitution day updo - with chain braids!

A fully rolled sockbun with chain braids - thank you for the inspiration, arc691!! :flower:
I a also wearing a lovely antique comb I got from Elrond's Emporium on Etsy - a suitably festive touch for such a day, and a hairtoy that isn't overwhelmed by my head-eating bun! :D

Oh wow! I can't get my chain braids to took this good - your's are really smooth and shiny! Mine turn out frizzy and lumpy. Beautiful hair (and I love your hair colour too, what products do you use on it to make it so bright?) :D

I wore my national costume, which has a hat, so I just had a plain braid. A woman did come up and ask me if she could take my picture though;)

I am glad I could tuck the tassels of my accent braids around my bun, Barniie - it was tangle ton there after I had pulled up the side strands. :p And as for what I use on my hair - that is good old lawsonia inermis, also known as henna. :D

I also garnered a couple of comments from people I have met today - one was a little boy, who asked if I was supposed to be a princess, since I had a crown and everything. :)
There were also two elderly ladies I met tonight, who admired my hair, and also my hairtoy - one of them thought it was a tiara, and asked me if I hadn't put it on the wrong way. :p I explained to her that no, it was not a tiara, and this was how it was supposed to be worn, and I also told them it was an antique, and that I had bought it from as English seller. The one who thought it was a tiara also thought that it was made in Russia. :)
So it has been a very nice Constitution Day celebration - even the weather cooperated!
