I know there's a salt & pepper hair thread somewhere around here but I'd like to see all white or all silver/grey or a mixture of both please (if you don't mind of course) I've been a fan of white hair for ages and I finally took the plunge and bleached my hair to death to get the color I wanted. I just envy white hair. I find myself staring at people's white hair no matter their race, age, or sex. Now that I've gotten it white I'm thinking about getting it more silver-ish white. I'll probably tone it pretty soon but I wanted to see everyone's hair too. To start, this is mine, not too long ago curled

http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/226230_1676972523868_1224147355_31323545_1176168_n .jpg

I know most people try hard to cover up white hair but I've worked alot to achieve the color and I refuse to wait 20 more years to get it naturally. I've seriously wanted white hair for 10+ years, I just think its so beautiful. I don't really like white on other stufff, like white walls, or white clothing, or anything else but if its white hair I think its gorgeous - and the same goes for silver. :)

Hehe you know... you'll probably be one of those people who's 60 and still has most of her natural color!! (Joke :p)

I am currently letting a silver chunk grow in my hair... but there's not enough of it to really see yet. Oh, and it's not all silver... it's errm... not even sure what % silver, but I'll know better when I've let it grow for a few months. Still covering the rest of my hair in color though, cause it's not silver enough all over to look pretty, still got mostly natural color! Just the side seems particularly silvery and seems to have more silvers (on top the greys look more grey than silver... I like the silvers!), so I'm going to see what will look like if I grow it out!

oo can't wait to see it when it grows in then! :D

my mom started growing grey hairs when she was 13 and she's always dyed it to hide it. I'm so jealous of those grey hairs. I know, I'm a little weird :P

I have silver streaked multi colour hair, unfortunately not all silver yet.I have a public album. It seems to be taking forever to go all gray. For inspiration ,check out Yasmina Rossi,a 50 plus year old supermodel with naturally all gray waistlength hair.

I, like you, cannot WAIT to have silver/white hair! I'm not willing to bleach my hair to get it, but the thought of it in the far future excites me!

I miss this color but not the damage it brought me. Certainly was striking. When I get more length I may add just a few white streaks :o

I want to say 3 months but I don't remember. Unfortunately my fine hair couldn't handle the damage and even after intense conditioning/protein treatments it began breaking off in clumps so I had to buzz it. Fun while it lasted though.

I LOVE that you love silver hair talecon :D Some days mine is hard to love (transitioning to all silver now), but I try! You can see it in my sig pic (and albums) although I have a way to go. I consider myself to be a "young" silver-head so hopefully I'll be all silver in time for the trendy young kids who are rocking the silver look still!! hehehe

Here's a shot from today. Most of my silver is around my face. I'm impatient too. My mother and grandmother were all white when they were my age, and my hair just refuses to turn! Anyway, here I am...

Love your attitude talecon. More people like you and less people will consider it "letting yourself go":D. That's certainly a lovely silver you got.:cheer:

I'm also loving yours, Spidermom, Xandergammy, Teazel, and Honestwitness. Loving the long silvery hair!

And since you're asking, I'm more stripey than fully silver, but this is my most silvery photo I think.

talecon I am so with you on the white color. I read your earlier post with the photos on your journey to white. It looks great on you.

I am getting there, but no good photos in hand. Both grannys died with white hair and mom and dad are both white so it is only a matter of time. Can't wait!.

Silvers started coming in around age 22. I colored in my 30's. Cut to a pixie in 1994 and have been growing since, no more dyes. What a joy! It's been fun watching the silvers take over.

More pictures in my album.

directions violet, lush okra and water. I've let it completely dry. Did not even wash out for two days. Just brushed the hair, but all the colour had already soaked into my hair.

My dad and sister were both born with white hair, but it darkened up within a few years. I was born with light brownish hair, but it got very light in my early childhood, then darkened up too. Dad only really started greying in his late 50's, and mum was earlier, but not sure when, because she gets hers coloured.
I like people with grey and white hair. I think it looks beautiful. I'm not sure what I'll do when I start greying, because I am going to start henna-ing my hair soon, and that will probably cover it up, even though I think "sparklies" are so beautiful.

I don't know if it was your intention but you totally look like Storm from X-Men here! :D

Surprising Woman your hair is incredible too - in fact everyone's silver/white hair is amazing. Opposite to what most people do, when I go grey is when I'm going to STOP dyeing it!
