I just received a pair of Grahtoestudios micro forks. They're beautifully crafted and totally adorable, but I am having a tough time figuring out how to use them.

I think that if I had a huge bun of uber-thick hair, they would work perfectly. But I have a smallish bun of baby fine hair. When I insert one micro fork on one side of my bun, then its twin on the other side, the tines end up crossing each other.

I don't think that I'm explaining this well...

Anyway...

If anyone can direct me, I will be very grateful. :flower:

I use them with the tines crossed sometimes. Or with two buns set together at the back of my head. Or I put them in a lazy wrap bun, stretched wide, with one fork going in from each side.

I have 2 horn hair forks,1 insert one in one side of the bun and the other up and at an angle away to the one on the other side.Inserting them at an angle instead of directly across from one another causes the tines to not cross, which is important because if they cross, you may break some of those tines one day as you apply pressure to insert them.Another way, is to insert one on one side and the other directly atop, on the same side ,but I prefer them on different sides.Does this make sense?

I'm going to have to play with mine. They're so darn cute. I'm sure that there's a learning curve to using them.
