I Hit Hip! (My Goal)

It's official, I have arrived at hip. When my roommate comes back from spring break with her camera, I will take pictures.

But I thought I would share this with all of you! I am due for a haircut soon, so I may not stay at goal for very long, but it is very satisfying to have my hair be this long and healthy for the first time in my life.

Thanks LHC, y'all have really helped.

ETA and update: I have just cut back to an inch past waist. It was nice while it lasted, but I'm happy with the cut, and I'll get to hip eventually.

Haha, thanks, but to be honest, I haven't been at chin in about 6 years, and no, it didn't take me 6 years to continuously grow to now. I chose chin as my starting point because that was the point where I started to grow out my hair in earnest. I've had several cuts since then when I maintained at different lengths over the years.

Thanks! Hip, or rather, small of my back, is my goal and, I don't plan on growing it longer. I've toyed with the idea of longer lengths, but I don't think it is for me.

Thanks! My true goal was the bottom of the small of my back, but that corresponds to my hipbones in the front. I'm using the hip bones in the front as a marker, but as if they were in the back if that makes any sense. What I mean is, my hair doesn't reach my hip bones as they are in the front, but if they were the same position in the back, my hair going down my back would reach them.

Basically it's about 2 inches above "buttcrack" level. :p

And I'm going to maintain hereabouts.

I mean relatively healthy, haha. It has accumulated split ends, particularly from this horrible winter, but the length isn't fried from heatstyling, and it still looks nice and undamaged, for the most part. I'll only have to cut a little bit off the ends, which is normal for me if I haven't trimmed in 4 months. And thanks!

Congrats!!!!! I'm happy to hear you reached your goal. My hair is currently to my bra strap. My next goal is waist. My mother in law who cuts my hair says it seems to grow extremely fast so hopefully in no time at all and lots of love and care I will reach this goal.
