scissors..?

My mom has a pair of scissors that came with a pair of hair clippers and they have never been used on anything but hair
I was wonderin if those would be okay to use or do i need an actual pair of cutting shears..

thanks :) i think im gonna let my mom trim my hair tomorrow. im nervous cause no one has cut my hair but me for yeeeaaarrrsss! lol
