Some weeks ago I picked up a tube of Vaseline Intensive Care's 98% Aloe Vera Gel, and it's been great as a moisturizer and itches and stuff but I'm wondering, can I use it for my hair? People here talk about Aloe gel in hair, but I'm not sure if I can use this exact type of gel on my hair. And if I can, how can I use it?

Thanks a bunch :)

I think people normally use 100% pure aloe vera gel on their hair. Sometimes the ones labelled 98% have other ingredient in them that aren't that great.

Are the other ingredients listed on the bottle?

Yeah there are, I'll try to find them online (tiny letters on the back)

The 98% Aloe Vera gels I've used contained anti-fungal/shelf-life extenders ingredients in them. I never did use them for my hair but I think it doesn't give any problems.

Well, if you're currently cone-free, it does contain cones, so that would be an issue. Someone more experienced with the science-y ingredients will have to inform you about the rest.

Thanks Quixii! Yeah, I notised the dimeticone but I went away from the conefree condishes because my hair looked like an electric puff ball with dreads after a while :p
