Hello all! I just thought I'd share my success from yesterday on wrapping my hair to make it straight.
Biiiiiiig thanks to NouvelleNymphe2 (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/member.php?u=33798) For suggesting the thread to me and to rosieex3 (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/member.php?u=29305) for the Youtube video post on how to do this!
I used this method http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1bIHMpCrKA and I was really amazed by how well it worked!. I did it after I towel-dried my hair to get rid of the excess water. It took 4 hours to dry all the way (the only down-side is waiting). For those who don't know this will only work if you set your hair into place like this when wet then let it dry. I think if I refine the technique and get some practice in I can get it even straighter than the first time :) I used a lot of bobby pins to keep it in place well. Then I heard (sorry I can't credit you because I can't find the person who posted this) that some women use a coke can in the middle to help guide their hair and straighten the stuff in the middle. I shall try with a coke can next time too.
Note: My hair is naturally a bit curlier than how it is today if I let it air dry down, I'm a 3/a
Naturally (with a bit of bun-drying to loosen the curls a bit, not dried down)

By the way, I'm still a bit of a newbie. Try and imagine my hair a bit more curly, would a 3/a be an accurate description of my curl? What do you think I am? I'm still trying to figure out my curl type (I've read other threads about it but am still not sure). Please and thank you
