I take green tea capsules for energy, I don't drink Coffee or Sodas. On the months that I have more of it my hair seems to grow a little faster....are their green tea drinkers that have great growth? I am wondering if there is a correlation?

Thanks!

I drink like a million cups of green tea a day, I haven't noticed any difference in hair growth.

I wish, that's camera flash that makes it look shiny. Don't give up on the green tea, it's good for you.

I drink a lot of green tea, and while I don't know if it has any direct relationship to good growth, I think it helps by increasing your overall health. I know that all those antioxidants help reverse the effect of stress on your skin, so maybe it does the same thing for hair?

I am a green tea fiend! :D My favorite is green tea with jasmine in it, and it is so soothing to smell and drink. I don't exactly pay a lot of attention to my hair growth, so I haven't really noticed any positive effects. I think the only way it's helped my hair is by being good for all of me and the.

Maybe smelling it more will reduce my stress shed? lol

I am happy with Green Tea and its benefits and will continue to use it, just curious about possible hair growth.

I'm an earl grey girl myself, but my tea buddy adores green tea and often makes it for me. Looks like I have one more benefit to our tea parties.

I drink green tea, white tea, red tea, black tea, whatever I'm in the mood for. I haven't noticed any difference in hair growth.

I drink lots of green tea, in fact all kinds of tea. Never heard of such a correlation. I have heard though that it is good for the hair when applied topically. (Never tried that.)

Last time I did much reading, the research supports increased metabolism equating to 80 calories a day. As far as hair growth, are you doing anything else different the months you drink more green tea? Training more frequently, protein shakes after training? Eating more generally? Less socialising?

green tea just makes my testosterone and DHT levels go higher, resulting in more hairloss and acne. I wish it made my hair grow faster, I love to drink it!

Really? That's interesting! Did you have it tested? I've never heard this before. (sorry, if it's too personal to elaborate here....you can PM me if you like :D )

I like green tea and drink a moderate amount. I did hear way back (from Anais Satin I believe?...gosh..that's a long time ago) that it can increase hair growth. I've never noticed such an effect

I drink at least one cup of green tea with mint every day, usually two. My hair tends to grow the average amount of one half inch a month. If anything, I just like green tea.

Green tea is actually supposed the have the opposite effect. Green tea is said to help prevent hair loss in that it inhibits DHT due to its high content of polyphenols. However, later on they found that the form of DHT it inhibits has very little effect on preventing hair loss and that the reason green tea is supposedly so good at preventing hair loss is really due to its antioxidants. Either way, it should not raise your DHT levels.
