I was looking around online the other day and came across this makeover (http://abeautifulmess.typepad.com/my_weblog/2011/01/makeover-story-kelsies-vegan-friendly-look.html). And was amazed by her long hair.

I especially loved the hairstyle she was sporting in some of the pictures (the ones with braids).:crush: So I was really excited when I found out she had done a how to! How to Style Maiden Braids (http://abeautifulmess.typepad.com/my_weblog/2011/03/how-to-style-maiden-braids-.html)(love the name) So I thought I would share it with all of you.

I'm so going to try this hairstyle soon! (And now she has me wanting bangs, but I think my face is to small for them... oh well.)

How pretty! And it looks like it could easily be dressed down. Will have to try this someday.

Thanks so much for sharing, that style really is gorgeous! I just attempted it and unfortunately it made me realize how fine my hair really is. It took my entire head of hair to make the braids and they still wern't as lovely and thick as hers. I braided them pretty loosely too. :o I'll hang onto it though, I might be able to modify it when my hair gets longer. Maybe wrap twice. :D

Thanks for sharing that interesting tutorial, Auburn Tresses. Except for her bangs, which I didn't care for, the style is lovely and a great combination of long braids and shorter swirls. I'd love to try this but I think it is meant for shorter hair. Still, it is very attractive!

So pretty! I wonder if you could do a clip-on fringe, and the braids might hide them? Thanks for sharing-

Omg :agape: I normally hate makeover shows just because they usually butcher long hair, but this show is awesome and the girl's new look is amazing ^_^ Thank you for sharing!

I agree, it is very refreshing to see a makeover that did not completely rid her of her beautiful long hair. Very elegant braids, and I'll definitely be trying it out for longer hair...

To be honest, I wasn't expecting to like the after shot. I thought, "Gee, she's already cute... They're probably gonna make her look worse!". I actually *really* like the changes. The loose curls were so pretty. <3

 That style has 4 braids. I like how each one of them looks as thick as all of my hair looks in one braid. :ponder:

Well, I am going to try it anyway.

I like the braided headband look though! Great link!
