So, this is my problem. My hair obviously has two different colors, since I'm growing out bleach.

Here's another pic where the color difference is very clear. I'm getting tired of ombre hair. What do you guys think, could henna save the situation? I want to stay away from chemical dyes. I'm a total noob when it comes to hennaing! Is it possible to get those blonde parts the same color as my virgin hair? I'd like to hear your opinions& thoughts!

I'm gonna keep my eye on this thread. Our hair color(s) looks kinda close so I'm interested too...

Lol, you've got way more patience than I do...I've only got about 2 inches of regrowth and it's driving me nuts.

Out of curiosity, was your hair really blonde as a kid?

I am not sure if henna would help, because I have no experience with henna at all.
but I had the same problem myself, I went to a hair dresser and had the bleached parts dyed in a very similar color to the rest of my hair.
so now it is not noticeable as much as it was before.
there will alway's be some color difference though, also when you work with henna I think.

Asequui, yes the regrowing process takes a lot of patience, I don't think I can last much longer anymore cause the difference is so outstanding.
I just tried to ignore my hair, wear it up often and concentrate on babying it with oils and such. I haven't dyed it after the bleach disaster, even if at times I was very tempted to.

And no, my hair wasn't blonde as a kid, it was the same colour as the virgin growth in my second picture. Whatever that color it is called, I don't know :D but at summertime it was always highlighted by the sun.

I don't think henna will work.. the blonde ends will still be way more brighter than your roots are, so you would basically be in the same situation as you are now... only with light and darker red hair!

You could dye your ends one last time with a colour close to your natural colour! Sure, you'll have to dye it again, but one time wouldn't be that bad, right?

I like your ombre hair a lot and don't think it looks bad at all!

I agree, stay away from henna! You'll just end up with 3-toned hair later when you're trying to grow out the henna, instead of 2-toned hair now.

If it were me I would go to a professional to get the ponytail dyed to match the rest. I think a professional would only need one attempt to get a good match on the color (compare to multiple attempts if I were doing it at home)

I was just thinking the same thing- ombre is HUGE right now. But I know what you are feeling, and if you're not happy with your hair it's worth making a change. I have to agree that a careful chemical color to bring the ends to your natural color might be the best bet.

Aww I love your hair, to me that first picture looks like it could be in a magazine :) I would actually use it my self for inspiration. but then I'm trying to grow out my bleach hair and go natural. I don't have as much growth as you yet and at this point Im excited to get there. Although when I'm there I might have a different opinion who knows

What about semi permanent color or even a toner? I don't know anything about color but Im sure someone with more experience will chime in.

Thank you all for opinions, I think I might still keep on growing virgin hair as long as possible (=until I Really start to hate how it looks).. Because now that I haven't dyed my poor hair for one year, it looks and feels so much healthier :)

I agree.

Henna WILL help, no doubt. Henna can blend different colours really well. And with repeat applications the roots will be lighter than the ends which is good in your case because you want more pigment on your length.

However, henna is 100% permanent and it is a huge colour change. You have to think long and hard about that.

Personally I really like your hair as it is.CurlyZ, the member I just quoted has similar ombre hair and it looks great.

That sounds like a good decision! It is quite pretty the way it is right now.

I think you look right on trend. I've noticed Drew Barrymore, Rachel Bilson, and Hilary Duff all sporting the ombre hair lately. I kind of like it.

I think it looks beautiful and its trendy too :p i made my hair like this on purpose 2 years ago and still love it:p
I dont think you should do anything with it, henna will make it turn bright orange i guess and still 2 colors
