I recently turned 40, and this afternoon one of my sisters visited with her gift for me...
She made me a hair toy board, with strips to hang clips and pockets to store sticks. She'd made some cute hair clips with crocodile clips and silk flowers and a hot glue gun... daisys (as a bit of a decoy for my daughters, ) and a gerbers and a rose as big accents. I was so impressed! She's very clever...
and then on the bottom pocket I found a Ficcare. :cheese::cheese:
Today was the first time I've ever seen one in real life, and I still kind of can't believe I have one of my very own!
I wasn't unhappy about turning 40, but this has made turning 40 very exciting!!:D
I feel like a real long-hair now I have a Ficcare!!!:eyebrows:

I have 3 lovely thoughtful and talented sisters... but only one of them has discretionary cash flow!
I'm having camera issues, but will post a picture as soon as I can, I'm feeling very very lucky!

(and it was even funnier to me because of a comic book/graphic novel character of the same name)

That sounds like a really thoughtful and personal present! (And it's given me all sorts of ideas for what I want to build for myself, lol) :)
What color and size Ficcare was it? I have yet to have the strength of character to buy one (I have a hard time spending money on myself), but one of these days... :D

Well Happy Birthday to you! I'm glad that an otherwise 'scary' birthday was made awesome. :D

I love my ficcares (they're like chips, I couldn't get just one ;)) and I hope you love yours just as much. :)
