Musings about growth cycle and hair-loss

I was wondering if you'd have a cycle of lets say 6 years for each hair and you have had a massive shed/bald patches (that grew back) 6 years ago would your hair be due for another shed 6 years later?

Quite possibly.

I believe there are people on here who have had post-partum sheds that then result in large sheds on a 6-ish (or whatever) year cycle, because all those follicles have synchronised their growth cycle because of their post-partum shed.

Sounds scary! I was hoping hairs all had a different growth cycle... I had a major hair loss 6 years ago and now as well. But the first one was 3 years before the previous one, so it was a different amount of time.
