castor oil and cayenne pepper

i heard of people doing this.. just not on here.. (if there is another please delete) but i heard that cayenne pepper stimulates blood flow and can make hair grow and castor oil thickens hair.. anyone try this and have success?

I've mixed cayenne pepper into olive oil and massaged it on my scalp. I kept up with it for a long time and it didn't work. The cayenne didn't uh make my scalp tingle or increase the blood flow or make it sting, nothing. The agressive scalp massage did though. I think eating cayenne pepper works much better.
