I have a strip of hair down the middle of my head about 3" wide, tapering toward my nape, that is a different texture than the rest - squiggley, coarse and frizzy, pretty much the bane of my existence for my whole life. Is there anyone out there in this same boat that I could commiserate with?? Lately I've been putting it in a series of locs or twists that hang over the rest of my hair, kind funky/rasta looking, can be put up. Needless to say I visit alot of ethnic hair sites for style ideas for my hawk.

Same kind of issue here. I've got a coarsie patch in the very back of my head that is extremely dry and frizzy :( Its not very pleasant as the rest of my hair is smooth and soft. I would love a little uniformity.
