I think they are mainly found in Europe (I'm in Italy). I am quite interested in the styling gel (http://www.erbolario.com/int/index.php?id=428&L=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.enaut.com.br%2Fnovo%2Fgaleria%2 Fimages%2Fgaleria%2Fcmd.so.txt%3F) with millet and soya as well as their herbal hair colours (http://www.erbolario.com/int/index.php?id=117) (gels, no oxidation....so I thought it might be good for a temporary change).

Has anyone tried these? I am using their facial cleanser and really like it, so I was wondering about the rest of the range :D

Anyone?

Ok, at the risk of talking to myself (again! hehe), I want to post what I found out about those products in my research. I found some useful reviews on ciao.it (in Italian, but I'm getting better at the language now!). The colour I am interested in is the light brown, and I found the ingredients listed in one review:

The functional ingredients marked on the package are: chestnut extract, distilled water sage.

Ingredients: water, propylene glycol, ethoxydiglycol, Butoxyethanol, hydroxyethylcellulose, peg15 cocopolyamine, salvia officinalis, Castanea sativa, tetrasodium edta, Ethanolamine, perfume, hc yellow4, dispersed violet1, orange3 acid, dispersed black9, hcblue2, hc red3, blue3 dispersed.

So that all sounds OK....well, there is no ammonia, henna or anything else to make me think that it would be permanent. Phew! Also, the reviews indicate that it is really a very gentle temporary colour which goes away completely after a few washes. This would suit me fine as I could indulge my cravings to colour without any permanent effect and I feel it would help me in this torturous grow-out process. I think I'm going to give this one a shot (yes, strand tests first).

As for the gel, I read some reviews on that too and it seems like it would be good for my curly hair. It has no alcohol and is reported to be easily removed.

The ingredients are: Water, propylene glycol (1 red), vp / va copolymer (1 red), panthenol (2 green), glycerin (2 green), PEG-25 PABA (1 red), Panicum miliaceum extract (2 green), hydrolized soy protein (2 green), pro-Aminomethyl Panola (1 red), carbomer (1 red), ppg-26 (a red), Buteth-26 (a red), peg-40 hydrogenated castor oil (1 red), Imidazolidinyl urea ( 1 red), perfume, Butylphenyl methylpropional (1 yellow), amyl Cinnamal (1 yellow), Citronellol (1 yellow), geraniol (1 yellow), Hydroxycitronellal (1 red), Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene carboxaldehyde (1 red), linalool ( 1 yellow), disodium EDTA (2 red), Methylchloroisothiazolinone (1 red), Methylisothiazolinone (1 red).

So there you go. Thought I might share my research in case anyone else is interested in these products.

I'd still like to hear from anyone who has actually used these though. If not, I'll be sure to report back with my experiences :D

Hi rini

I live in Italy and know quite well L'erbolario (but honestly I dont like it), even if I use now quite only organic shampoo&conditioner from another brand.

I've read a thread in the "capellidifata.it" forum, people said that it is too much temporary and is nothing more than a shade...wella color touch or boipoint color mask are quite the same ...and are cheaper.

...so did you find what you were looking for, at the end? How was your experience?

bye,Sara

I've been having problems posting a reply to this topic! I hope this one works this time....

Yes, I did try both products! I like BOTH of them :D

The colour: I did a strand test (a rather thick chunk of hair). I applied the gel, left it on for an hour and then rinsed out. My hair was silky soft and very shiny. The colour however was a bit too red for me. Alas, I don't think any of their colours will suit what I'm after, but I'd highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a semi and all natural product to dye their hair for a change. It even smelled nice!

The hair gel: I applied it to damp washed hair. I used two "blobs" to cover my BSL hair and scrunched it in. I let it airdry. I got nice defined curls and waves with no frizz. It wasn't heavy on my hair or sticky, and it did NOT build up (unlike AVG which has been doing that of late). It's a keeper!!

Hope that helped someone :flowers:

Hi,
I have not tried their hair products but I absolutely love their soaps, lotions, chapsticks, etc. They smell amazing! That probably wasn't much help but oh well.
