Hi, I have a friend who has been trying to join this forum but when she goes thru the sign-up and gets to the page where you have to type the words, she doesn't see the words she, instead sees a little red x BUT if she prints the page up she sees the word, right hand clicking and "show picture" doesn't bring it up either, do you have any clue to what the problem might be ? or perhaps another way she might be able to join up ? She has also tried enabling her pop-up ..

That happened to me too, on my macbook pro, but when i used a pc it fixed itself, and now i can still use my account on my mac. let me know if that helped(:

thanks danceri I e-mailed her to check out your answer .. I just remembered something else she said .. she says she could (I feel like I'm talking about the cats mother, lol) go thru the whole sign up on her DH's computer but when she sends it, it wont send, it refuses the address - error ..

I just found out that she is using a pc ..

i had this problem when i tried to sign up. i use a mac too. i emailed someone and it was fine the next day though

she has e-mailed, a few days ago but is not getting a reply

Recently a lot of people are having problems with the captcha when registering, and we don't know what the problem is or how to fix it. Several people have reported success when changing computers or browsers. However, dozens of people are registering every day without problems. I don't understand it. Your friend could try changing browsers, computers, and/or operating systems. That's all I can suggest at the moment.

update .. she tried to join up on her son's computer, she can see the captcha words but now it refuses her email address- says error-free emails [hotmail etc are not allowed] but her's is a paid webmail which IS allowed-so WHY!!!! She has a telus.net e-address

Can she use my e-mail ??

I understand the trouble I think I did have a little hic-up the first time ..
