Hi Gals
What is the main difference (if any) between
Italian, Elizabethan & Renaissance hair taping.
I am thinking about trying it.

I have no idea about the difference between them, but I just remembered that Torrinpaige has a hair-taping tutorial on youtube :)

I would say, and I am just guessing here, that the difference would be in the hairstyles. Depending on the type of style used it would change how you thread the ribbon, thus giving the taping a different look. Mind you this is just an educated guess.

Good question! I have seen (and done) several different types of hair taping, but I have no idea which is which.
Are you asking because you need help on how to do it, or for historical curiosity? I can point you some neat tutorials out there, but I have no idea which ones are Italian or Elizabethan.

No I was looking at 3 tutorials and they all appear to be the same.

The European Renaissance was about the same time as the Elizabethan period, and started in Italy. I think it's safe to say they are just different names for the same thing.
ETA: Of course the Elizabethan years were far shorter, I just meant their eras crossed.
