I'm on the market for a fringe. My problem is.. I don't know what kind!
I self-diagnosed (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v43/No-Eyes/Photos/110310-224945.gif) (warning, full frontal no nonsense webcam picture!)myself as an oval shape and started looking on the web for ahem advice.
It's not helping much. So I thought I'd come and ask here for advice!

I have an oval face and want a fringe, what kind of fringe would look best on me?

Hi, I just wanted to tell you that you can try clip on bangs to see what type or if it would look nice on you. I wear clip in bangs. It causes no damage to my hair as it is a click and bangs dont weight much. I bought some from Hairdo by Jessica and some from china. I perfer the china bang style on me, and the reason I like bags is to cover some scars I have.

this one is my favorite and soooooo inexpensive... Though its high shiner then my hair so I powdered it to make it less shiney and it looks just like its min.

I post a lot of links because I am a bargain hunter and really spend good time getting the best deals.

Oh I also wanted to say that you are beautiful! and I think bangs would look nice on you, but your face is so naturally beautiful it would be best to show it off. Bangs kind of hide the face.

Why don't you just work your way in? Try the different styles going from least amount of hair like sideswept bangs which are really kinda layers in the front of your hair (ie, hair falls like this: (/^_\ ) ) then progress to a full blown blunt fringe (which is my personal favorite but you and I have very different face shapes so Idk how it'd look on you, though you have wonderful bone structure and ovals tend to have the ability to carry off any cut). Just stop when you like what you see!

This.. is.. such a great idea! I hadn't even considered doing that! That's a great excuse to have a trip to a salon once a month or so :eyebrows:

I like the idea of the clip on bangs too, I never knew they existed! I wouldn't even have to match my own haircolour (blue hair here we come :D )

and thank you both for the kind words!

IMO, side swept bangs would look good. Like AnnaJamila said, oval face shape can carry off any kind of bangs.

Is your hair long enough to flip up and over your forehead? That's what I did when I tried to see what different bangs looked like on my face -- you can even secure with a headband so it stays. :)

Or, you can make a deep side part and it will emulate how sideswept bangs behave.

I think you look great without bangs, but if you want to go for them, I'd probably go with blunt ones (full disclosure: those are the ones I occasionally dream of getting ;)).

I think longer side swept bangs would look great.

As the other posters said oval faces suit all fringes.
You are very pretty.
Good luck with your journey into fringes/bangs.

I think AnnaJamila's idea is awesome, first off.... I will have to remember that one.
On topic, I would go with either side bangs or long bangs. Leaning more toward long bangs because I think they would be more versatile. I like the idea of blunt bangs, but they are such a PAIN to grow out when you get tired of them.. Im currently growing mine and its not fun at all.. I really think you could pull of any kind of bangs you wanted though.

I did this, pulled my ends over my forehead and it made me look entirely different. woa.

I like the idea of blunt very much, and lol: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v43/No-Eyes/110311-000953.jpg

There's one thing though, my mini widow's peak sort mucks everything up. If I remember correctly, parts anything resembling a blunt fringe into two.. so I did this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v43/No-Eyes/110311-001248.jpg (don't mind the face I'm pulling)

I usually wear my hair in a deep part and like it.. meh! I just can't decide!
