I'm a cuttin' ma hairs.
I want my bangs back, and I reallly need a trim. The last time I got my hair cut was last May.

I still want to keep my length, but I want my layers redone, as I look really unsophisticated without them. Now that they've been growing out, people have started asking if I'm 17. I'm 24!! Grah! A trim would also help, as I'm trying to grow out my annoyingly damaged underlayer (the part that's not the canopy? What's that called?).

Anyhoo, I'm thinking of getting bangs like these. I think they're really pretty, and wide bangs hide my annoying curly temples. I'm not sure if how far back they go would look good with my hair though. Thoughts?

I can't see any pictures, but curly hair at the temples may be a problem if you want your bangs styled a certain way.

Sounds like its not an impulsive decision, so go for it.

I can't see the photos though:(

Was growing them out intentional or an accident? If it was intentional, remember why you did. If it was an accident then go for it again.

Will they be the same style as before? I'm a little concerned about what Spidermom mentioned with your temple curls.

Tinyurl is giving me grief. It's not recognizing that I have a photobucket account and telling me to create one. GRR.

I want wider cut bangs to hide my fluffy baby temple hair which annoys the crap out of me. My temples are finally filling in (after waiting my entire life for a normal hairline) but I just want bangs to hide the annoyingness until it's all grown out. Plus I have a weird forehead bump that bangs cover :D

Anyway, here are the links to the pictures of the bangs that I want. Are they clickable?

I grew my bangs out because I don't trust Ottawa stylists. I've never had a good cut in this city. I really like them and want some sort of bangs/fringe back.
As for my curly temple hairs, bangs are the best way to hide them. It's okay if I get a bit of an S curve at the temple, they're easily tamed with a round brush, and at least this way I can wear my hair up without slathering it with product to keep my frizzy curly horns out of sight.

Hmm, I like your bangs the way they are!

The "bangs that I want" pictures look like a little too much bang to me personally ...but that's just my preference. I think yours are nicely proportioned.

Oh, sorry, I didn't make it clear, I don't have any bangs right now, they're grown out. The pictures above are from two different fringes I've had over the years, one to the side and one blunt. I really like the way her bangs frame her face, and I do like how thick they are. Just not sure if it would work on my face, or if it would thin out the rest of my hair too much.

Oops! I couldn't see the December 30 picture so I assumed the others were current.
You look nice with bangs...I'm sure it will turn out great!

You look great with the bangs when they're being cute. But remember will they always be cute. And how annoying is it when they're being annoying? lol I'm being a little silly but you catch my drift. I'm actually on week two of my two week wait deciding if I want bangs again. I keep flip-flopping. Oh and I cant see the links I get error pages.

I think your bangs are/were really cute, and your hair color looks great. I'm planning on getting bangs back once I hit my goal length. Right now bangs just make me look like a lego-head. Do you roadtrip to Toronto or Montreal ever? Are the stylists better there? Could you maybe wait and treat yourself to a haircut somewhere nice there instead? That might make it easier to wait for it a little.

Get side swept bangs, meaning you still can part your hair at the side and there are still fringe covering part of your forehead.

I think they're FAR less annoying than not being able to put my hair back, because annoying curly horns will form with the slightest gust of wind. But that's just me.

Haha, ya, that's actually been the plan...for the last 6 months. I'm always too busy when I get there!

Thanks! And I think I fixed them now, are they working okay?

You look good with bangs. It's a great way to change your hair a little without a huge drastic chop. I have bangs which like you I have cut in, grow them out then chop them back in. My boyfriend never notices though! The only downside (which my 7 year old daughter hates!) is they grow in so quick. And then we start again!
P.s. You are so pretty.

I think yours are cute!

I have bangs too and really like them-- they keep my face from looking so long and glum, and my forehead has a bit of acne scarring that I feel a little self-conscious about.

What I do NOT like about bangs is the way they get so greasy so fast! Mine look really really nasty by the third day, while the rest of my hair can coast on looking decent for four or five days.

yeah, mine get like that too! I started using dry shampoo on them, and it seems to work pretty well. That and not conditioning them.

I've also been tempted to cut shorter, so I can do more rockabilly styles, and pin curls. Pin curls are basically impossible with how long and heavy my hair is right now. I'm not a big fan of wearing various buns all day, and my hair doesn't like to hold LHC style updos very well. Still waffling.

I am a fan of sideswept, if only because it is easier to camouflage BAD bang days better than straight. Either looks cute on you.

Oh, I LOOVVEEE the look of those blunt bangs on you. Oh my. I think bangs like that are my favorite. If I didn't have curly hair, I'd be rocking them for sure. And your cheekbones! They look so darling with the bangs.
