I stumbled onto this photo last night while googling for a particular natural mascara I want to try (Pure Anada brand). Anway, although I couldn't get this colour with my dark hair, I would assume a person could with henna??!

I love my dark hair, but I simply adore her colour!!!

I generally prefer natural colours, but that is a lovely shade. :flower:

I wonder what type of henna you would need and what would need to be added? This colour is gorgeous.

Yesterday i found a link (via the fine/thin hair post) to "Madeleine's Twisted Pages," which you can google to get to it (it seems the link won't work for everyone), that had a beautiful array of colors achieved naturally from pre-made henna mixes. Madeleine talked about this German brand (called Logona) that is pure henna that comes pre-mixed with other 100% natural ingredients (much like Lush products are already mixed to obtain a certain color). Anyway she talks about her henna routine, and how much she likes Logona products. I found that you can purchase them in the U.S. from this site:

http://www.logona-usa.com/herbalhair-powders35.cfm

And you can do research in English, German, Spanish, and French regarding the Logona product line and ingredients using this link:

http://www.logona.com/PHF/PHF_E/index.html

I really liked the above link because they have a color chart which breaks down what colors are achievable based on your natural hair color. Of course there is a foreword explaining that when coloring with natural products the end result isn't always predictable and is largely based on the natural hair color and condition/type.

I think I might do a search on here about Logona products, and if I don't find a lot of information I might give it it's own thread in the Henna/Herbal care part of the forum. HTH :)

anyway happy reading, perhaps one of these colors might be what you're looking for?

ETA: I just read a thread on here that stated Logona products could contain toxic ingredients. Here is the link to the thread. I wouldn't want to use toxic ingredients on my hair and you shouldn't either. Please read: http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=61696&highlight=Logona

How funny. I'm fortunate to have strong hair that don't damage from dyes/bleach but I so would trade in some health for the color I want (within reason). I also love her hair. :D

OP: Your hair looks quite dark to get that color from henna.

Lucky you.I have a blue streak on my hair and I love it.I wish I had the strong hair to do it.I will try as soon as I finish school.I have the right to wreck my hair, don't I?

Lol! Yes you certainly do have the right, but speaking from experience it's pretty annoying when you finally do! (in my case after 10+ bleaching sessions) :o

Wig? It's an option for your darker hair maybe.

It is a lovely colour but I'm glad to be 80% sure it would not suit my colouring. Natural is best for me.
