As you can all tell,. I have not added any hair typing to my profile...because I am having a hard time figuring out what my hair type is. I added a picture to see if someone can help me with this.

I am the one in the middle wearing the black t-shirt. My hair is washed and air dried in this photo. Does anyone have any thoughts about what hair type this is?

I sincerely apologize, but for some reason Photobucket is not allowing me to resize this picture properly. I am SO sorry!

Looks like 2c or a 3a to me, but you can always check the article (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/vbjournal.php?do=article&articleid=5) on it to judge for yourself. Also to get an accurate hair type you should wash your hair with a gentle clarifying shampoo and allow it to air dry with as little touching as possible.

HTH!

LadyInBlack, (hey, I noticed you're wearing black in the photo! :p) I'd call that 2a/b.

I hope that helps!

ETA: Mojavewolf, in order to hairtype it's best to have a photo of one's hair airdried, unbrushed, with no product in it. :flower:

Not straight in the slightest, so you're not a 1. I don't see any corkscrew curls, so I don't think you're a 3, but it's possible handling your hair enough to get clothes on broke up 3a corkscrews, or your hair is too short to fully corkscrew.

That leaves you as a 2. I'd tend to go with 2b, since you're definitely wavy, and there are multiple wave lengths visible. 2c would have a more corkscrew feel, and 2a I think would tend to be less curly in appearance.

Thanks everyone! Looks like 2a/b is most likely it. And yes, my username is definitely a reference to my inability to wear colors other than black. I try, but I always end up feeling really weird wearing anything other than black. So black it is. Keeps the wardrobe simple I guess.
