I saw a youtube for hair wrapping where the hair was wrapped dry (after a roller set) around the head, then clingwrapped, then heated under a dryer - the result was uber smooth. It got me to wondering about the properties of clingwrap and whether it would have somewhat the same effect of I skipped the roller set, wrapped and clingwrapped it then heated it by wearing a warm close-fitting hat. Not expecting uber smooth, but somewhat relaxed and less frizz. Is there something magical in the clingwrap/heat process??

I have no answers to what the cling wrap does, but can I have the link to the YouTube video? I want smooth hair!

I think clingwrap shrinks a bit with heat but I have no proof of that.

I think its more the clingwrap holds the hair so that the dryer can heat set the hair in that position, making it straighter. ETA: Kind of like how a curling iron holds the hair in a twist while it heats it up, when it cools off it retains that shape.
