Here is my hair October 17, 2010 <img src = "http://i894.photobucket.com/albums/ac146/jenjen10_photos/hair/croppedpic-1.png">

and taken today February 20, 2011 <img src ="http://i894.photobucket.com/albums/ac146/jenjen10_photos/hair/hairFebruary202011.png">

I have been so stressed with nursing school, the boyfriend, money, etc that I have been shedding hair like a cat and, unfortunately, pics seem to confirm that I have not gained much length (and my ends look sparse to me). :(

Think I am going to start Monistat again or try castor oil (along with Biotin) to see if I can jumpstart some growth. Luckily, Spring and Summer seem to be when I have a growth spurt so hopefully I make up for lost time soon.

I see a little growth. The ends do look thinner but it could even be the conditioner you used, too much oil, a lot of factors. Does your hair feel different?
I'll trade you lengths ;)

Your hair looks a little oily or wet in the second picture. That could be causing it to look thinner compared to first one. To me it does look like you got at least an inch of growth though. The angles can really throw things off. Don't worry yourself too much about it.

Just make sure you stay healthy and try to get enough sleep :)

Yes, the ends do have quite a bit of oil in them right now so it may be creating a bit of a "piecey" look.

I see some growth, but it certainly seems to have slowed. Many people don't experience particularly great growth during the winter.

I would recommend the castor oil with a good scalp massage, it may help you relax a bit! Be careful about mega-dosing on Biotin, though, as your body could react negatively to taking so much of it.

I felt the need to drop a comment when I read that you're in nursing school--I am too, and I feel it's definitely stunted my growth. This is ridiculously stressful! : (

I'm sure you'll find all sorts of advice for hair growth on here, but just be sure to take some time to destress... even if it's just for an hour or two of you time, as often as you can. (Though I know from personal experience, it can be hard to find ANY time in nursing school!) For me, what got me out of my growth stunt was classes calming down and making sure I took time to do things I loved... play video games, read, etc. Not just stress and study for exams.

I hope your growth kicks up soon!

I see an inch of growth too.. it could be the stress factor that hinders the growth.

I go through many month long stalls frequently so I know how you feel. *hug* Hang in there. Castor oil is worth a shot. I haven't used it long enough to tell if its making my hair grow faster but my eyebrows are definately fuller because of it. I wouldn't mess with biotin though. Unless you are lacking it in your diet it will cause your body uneeded stress.

Try to relieve some of that stress through meditation, exercise, dancing, whatever makes you feel better. I hope everything gets sorted out.

Definitely some growth showing......yay!!!....also, have you thought about getting a stripey shirt? You can sure measure better by pictures with a stripey shirt!!!!

Second Debra on the stripy shirt suggestion. Also on the winter stall; if you look at my growth album, there's not much difference in the las couple of months.

Good luck with the stress. Try to take care of your self in spite of it.

I don't think you should worry - or you have enough on your plate without worrying about hair growth too. Your hair looks nice. I needed more time between photos before I could see growth. 4 months didn't show me much. When I could compare photos a year apart, I could see the growth that I was sure wasn't happening.

I see a little progress but take into account that when you achieve certain lenght it takes longer to see some progress... at least 6 months maybe but your update is cool :)

I suggest you to wear stamped t-shirts when you take these photos so you could clearly notice the change

I see about an inch or so of growth. I took the pictures, scaled the bigger one down to the proportions of the smaller one, and drew lines in paint. It might not be the most drastic change in growth but it is winter..

Don't stress about it though. It's still growing and looking good. :flower:

You have beautiful hair!! I do see some growth in your hair. Remember, hair grows faster in summer than in winter. In the second picture your hair appeared a little damp, so that has probably caused the ends to appear thinner, although it really isn't. Hang in there!! It will start growing like a weed when warm weather begins!!

I hope it starts growing faster again! I looked back at pics from 10 months ago and there definitely has been a lot of growth over that time period but I want to get to waist so bad that this stall is frustrating. Hopefully, I will reach waist by the end of the summer though. :)

I can see definite growth - compare the outer edges of the hemline, they're definitely further down.

Don't lose heart, growth rates often fluctuate. :flower: Who knows, when summer comes you might get a rush of growth to make up for it.

To me it looks longer - you must rescale the picture in your mind because the 1st picture is bigger than the 2nd one. If they were scaled the same the growth would be more obvious.
