A year ago I got my hair chopped into a heavily layered just above chin length bob. I had hairs about 1 inch short because of the way she layered it. Then I found naturallycurly.com and stopped using cones and sulfates (I'm using sulfates about once every 3 months for my seborrheic dermatitis and PEG cones in my current conditioner) my hair improved dramatically and then I started to grow my hair out. Then I began a thread on NC.com for growing out and began to lurk on LHC. Then in August I joined here! A year of growing! :cheese:

wow! your hair is so beautiful! How did it grow so fast? I got my hair cut to chin length around March last year, and it's nowhere near apl yet, and I've only had one trim (about 1-2 inches, as it was crooked) in January. And I thought mine had grown fast!

Absolutely STUNNING!!!! I'm a little longer than the length of your first picture right now. If I can get that much growth in one year I'll be doing back flips for days :disco: (not that I know how to do a back flip, LOL). But if I get that kind of growth, I just might have to learn how to do one:D.

I'm curious too, do you know about how much it grows each month?

Wonderful! And it gives us all hope!!! I'm growing from chin length and will hit 1 year in May - I am hoping I can french braid mine by then; the layers are brutal though!! Congrats!

And, if I may say, I have no idea how old you actually are, but just those two photos completely scream the difference of middle-aged soccer mom bob versus young, gorgeous, and glorious! Phenomenal difference! (I hope that makes sense...)

My hair grows about an inch a month but when I first started growing it grew about 1.5 inches a month.
