I just picked up a bottle today as it was a lot better price than my usual hair oil (Mother's Special Blend) and I was curious about experimenting. Haven't tried it on my hair yet but it feels amazing on my skin--a LOT like camellia oil (even the color is the same). I like that is has no fragrance, too.
So anyone here a fan? I'm hoping it will be heavy enough (jojoba oil is a bit too light for me).

My hair is mostly neutral to sweet almond oil but it is the only oil, detangler, conditioner, anything, that will even touch my daughters hair. Just a few drops of sweet almond oil on her hair while damp leaves it more golden looking, shiny, and tangle free.
On me, it just kinda makes my hair stringy. It is a fairly light oil, which is weird because I usually use coconut oil and it doesnt make my hair feel greasy or anything btu the almond does.

I've used it with some success. I think it is a bit lighter than jojoba.

I've used it and it was making my hair stringy and very oily looking. Even a tiny small amount wasn't light enough on my hair.

It made my hair crunchy but my skin loves it!

I didn't like it at all, it didn't make much difference to my hair and I ended up throwing it away. I much prefer coconut oil.

I used sweet almond oil when I ran out of jojoba. I liked it and still use it now and again, however coconut oil is my oil of choice. It works better for me than any others I've tried!

I've used it only on my skin. It works well as a makeup remover around the eyes. But, I tended to break out a little bit from it, so now I use apricot kernel oil.

My hair's ok with it--nothing especially good or bad happens with it. But my skin loves it--I use it as a body moisturizer after I shower all winter long.

I like it on skin, occassionaly, as a make-up remover, around my eyes (at night) or for body massage. Straight on damp or dry hair no; it only worked when combined with other ingredients - as a mask (with egg yolk, lemon juice, honey) and in some Wella Professional line for sun-damaged hair.

I've used it for heavy oilings. It's lighter than olive oil and cheaper than jojoba oil. I had trouble getting the oils out after heavy oilings of any sort, which is why I don't do them anymore.
I've never used it by itself as a leave-in oil since I always felt like the scent would go weird/sour on me. However, it's part of my usual oil/butter blend that I always use as a leave-in, and that works fine.

It was one of the first oils I tried since it was available at the grocery store. It was too heavy for my hair and made my hair super-crunchy.

It did nothing for my hair, nothing at all. It just seemed to sit on top of it and make it icky. I love coconut oil too.

I like it I have used it as a deep treatment mixed with coconut oil, jojoba oil & evoo. I do it like once a month. It feels very soft on my hair.

I've used it for detangling, and it seemed to work well for that.

Does sweet almond oil have that almond extract smell?

Sweet almond oil smells kind of sweet to me. I like it, it's good to use in a mix with castor and coconut oil together and applied onto the scalp before head bath.

I love almond and frequently rotate my oils and butter or my hair gets sick of them

I like it for my body in winter (mixed with essential oils of orange and lavender, I've been using this mixture for many years) and for my face (taking off make up - I'll try it for the dark circles!). In my hair, it does nothing for me, I prefer Dabur Vatika, sheabutter or camellia oil. However, my spiral-curly daughter loves it. Her hair seems to swallow it all and she has lovely bouncy curls after she uses it.
I will try it in mixtures, that's a good idea.

I've used sweet almond oil on dry hair, and I loved it, but I suspect it was causing breakage. I'm not sure how it could, or if it was something else I was using at the time, but I haven't tried it again in a while. I'll still pour a dash in when I do a deep treatment.

One of my favorites, you just reminded me i need to buy some more! Makes my hair lovely and soft but I only use it for deep overnight oilings.

I've started using sweet almond oil on my hair and skin and really am liking the results. I've mixed it for my hair with a few other oils though on my skin I just use it plain.

My hair LOVES it! I used to use Jojoba oil, 4 drops just after washing (while wet) 2-4 drops daily until next washing. Now, just 3 drops of the SAO and 1-2 drops every other day until washing. Works great!

Not particularly. It smells slightly of almonds if you sniff hard enough, but if you're looking for it to scent your hair, you'll be disappointed.
