How do fellow shorties style while growing ?

Howdy, Aloha, Bonjour, Salaam, HELLO !

As a super shortie I would like to know how other shorties style there hair as they are growing ? Although I can’t wait to go FICARRIN crazy as my hair grows longer, I am really enjoying the journey:D. I LOVE all of the beautiful braids, buns, and fun updos I see, but I’m just not there yet. Even if you were a shortie at one time and have an old photo of your do I’d love to get some ideas ! Here is my flickr pics which show a few of my shortie styles and my favorite winter hat:xmas:. a half-up I believe it was called. Just gather a part of your hair at the top and put that in an elastic. That's what I did.

Skinny headbands have been my best friend for the last few months! I'm also fond of sticking flower clips behind my ears (only one ear :p). I look kinda ridiculous with my hair in half ups (curse you, waves!)

It's nice to see someone with the same hair color, thickness, and wave as mine, our hair is exactly the same xD mine is finally at the bottom of my neck so can go in a little ponytail which is cute

I love the half-ups right now
I try to section half (or less than half since my hair is so thin) of the top section and then isntead of just pulling it towards the back of my hair with a clip I work it in a tiny braid as it reaches towards the back of my head, it's really cute just on one side since my bangs are growing on the other side (my hair parts left to right) but it'd be really cute both sides too.

and I need a small clippy to hold it in a halfup like you have in your pictures, that's my favorite to do

At the moment I've been doing tiny little pig tails. My DBF calls them "nubs".

This isn't me but they look a lot like this. Maybe a bit smaller.

You could try pin curls. Headband, pretty little barettes. Generally I just tried my best to ignore my hair at that length lol.

Ok, I just ordered 2 "mini" flexi8s yay! I really like the headbands and other mini accessories in this post. I need something to keep me satisfied and motivated :). I'll post my next month's pic (in my album) with my new flexi8s :). So check it out come March!

These are the styles I always did when growing out my pixie:

- headbands
- very tiny "pig tails"
- half up pony (it was just a little fluff of hair sticking out :D)

I wear my hair in a half-up twisty thing and hold it with little hair sticks or small hair forks (I love Grah-Toe Studio's micro mini forks). I have a pic in my album.

I also wear my hair in a pony tail and a little peacock twist.
