View Full Version : February Measure-In! =D =D =D

January 31st, 2011, 06:13 PM
Yay! I got to open this one up! =D

So my hair grew half inch, as usual, bringing me to 44.90 inches, or 114 cm :D

I'm so happy! 6 more cm to go and I'm at goal lenght! WhoHOOO!!! :happydance:

So at what lenght is everybody in? :)

Love this place :D :flowers:

January 31st, 2011, 06:22 PM
I trimmed a little, two weeks ago, (got rid of my bottom-most layer!) so I am at 28 and 5/8 inches. :)

January 31st, 2011, 06:48 PM
So it's really hard for me to measure my hair length accurately. I measured 3 different timeas and got three different numbers. I'm somewhere between 20.75"-21". That's between 1/2-3/4" growth this month. Hopefully when my hair is longer it will be easier to measure. :)

January 31st, 2011, 07:12 PM
I am at a lovely 23" today. I hope to have some extra growth throughout February as I continue with my Monistat craze.

January 31st, 2011, 07:25 PM
The husband said I was a bit past 20 inches, but who knows how accurate that is when he's ready to get back to his games!

The husband said I was a bit past 20 inches, but who knows how accurate that is when he's ready to get back to his games!

Heh, mine knows better than to miss-measure, because I'll have him do it until he takes his time and measures accurately, video games or not.

January 31st, 2011, 11:14 PM
As near as I can tell, I am at 22.5" APL is about 24" and BSL is about 26.5." So, I think I'll hit APL by mid-March and I am hoping to hit BSL sometime this summer. I guess there are times when having a short torso is a good thing. =]

February 1st, 2011, 02:05 AM
I'm not allowed to measure or take photos this month :( i didnt take any supplements since december ,so my growthrate most likely slowed a bit down.. :(

February 1st, 2011, 04:56 AM
I'm back at 45" after a 2" trim. I miss my length but the trim was well needed.

February 1st, 2011, 05:36 AM
An half inch of growth this month, so it's now about 33.5".

February 1st, 2011, 06:13 AM
do you do this every month? How cool!
I measured yesterday as I did an inch and half trim about 3 weeks ago, hehehe it still reads 37 inches, so not sure if I took a wrong measurement when I joined or it was wrong yesterday ;)

Skyblue - this is regular thing, its quite brilliant!

The hair I have is growing well, Im thinking of measuring it to see what my growth rate is normally. No growth much anywhere else, and those lovely white short hairs dropped out - I might discuss it with Dr on next visit.

As the majority of head isnt growing Im still at 0.

February 1st, 2011, 07:32 AM
It's 80 cm, or 31.5 inches :D I am happy because I am gaining back the length I trimmed in November.
I cut back to 76 cm (from 82 cm or 32,2 inches) on November 22nd, then I measured 78cm on January 1st, and now it is 80! I hope it always grows like this.

February 1st, 2011, 08:14 AM
I trimmed about 1½ in the beginning of January (to 23 inches or so) and now it's 24½inches! I also noticed that my bangs are almost the same length as the rest of my hair (except for layers)!

February 1st, 2011, 08:20 AM
I don't measure, but I'm almost at chin.

February 1st, 2011, 08:23 AM
I grew an astonishing 1 1/2 inches this month! This puts me at 24", which is BSL!!! I'm so excited!
I radically changed my diet and credit that for my insane growth.

February 1st, 2011, 08:31 AM
My hair has been about that length since last May. I've been microtrimming to thicken the hemline due to shedding. It didn't really help, so now I think I'll start going for more length.
After the Full Moon in Leo trim on Feb 18th, of course! :D

February 1st, 2011, 08:58 AM

So about 1/2" of growth for me. I will also do a micro trim on Feb. 18th. I have been doing a micro trim every 1st. of the month but will hold off until the 18th. - hoping to thicken it up some.

February 1st, 2011, 09:55 AM
34.25 inches. :D

February 1st, 2011, 12:21 PM
Didn't have any help to measure properly last month, but it was definately between 22" and 22.5". Had some help this month and have just hit 23" :D

February 1st, 2011, 12:43 PM
20 inches...

February 1st, 2011, 12:48 PM
I'm 24" it's pretty steady at 1/2" a month. Nothing fancy but I'll take it!

February 1st, 2011, 12:49 PM
I'm at 104cm (40.9'').
I'm also going for a trim on the 18th... :)

February 1st, 2011, 01:23 PM
Longest bits are about 22" so I am definitely APL. Unfortunately, I'm also in need of a trim which will take me back up.

February 1st, 2011, 01:32 PM
Monthly trim yesterday, and I am now at 38.25 inches from 37.75 inches last month...and with fresh ends again :):):) I love monthly microtrims!! I get a very steady 0.75 inches of growth each month, and I've been measuring for over a year, so there do not seem to be seasonal differences for me.

February 1st, 2011, 01:41 PM
Wow, I'm at 23.5 inches!

February 1st, 2011, 02:04 PM
Wow, I haven't measured in quite a while!! I'm currently at 26" - that's *only* 3" of growth in 8 months (plus another inch or so chopped off back in October), but I consider that huge since I had to stop taking the biotin and have been dealing with several health issues...(unrelated to the biotin!)

February 1st, 2011, 02:22 PM
1/4 of an inch for me! This is a good thing, some months I get 0 so I'm happy :) Now hopefully it will keep going at this rate or faster..

February 1st, 2011, 02:38 PM
Fairly upset over this one. I measured my hair mid December at 31" and then in Jan. trimmed half an inch. My hair is now just about 30.5"...

February 1st, 2011, 02:57 PM
Last week i had a 2 cm trim, so i am still at 34".

I am a bit tired from growing out, my hair feels short and thin these days. I am wearing it up in a bun almost every single day because i *feel* it is ugly.

Not happy at all with my hair at the moment :-(

February 1st, 2011, 03:02 PM
I measured at 23 1/8" last night. That gives me 7/8" of growth last month! WOO! Regular S&D's have been great for my hair. :D

February 1st, 2011, 03:06 PM
41" slower progress than I'd like but progress none the less.

February 1st, 2011, 06:41 PM
A little over 39.5 inches last month and this month I'm measuring at a little over 40 inches.

February 1st, 2011, 06:58 PM
I typically boycott measuring because my hair grows soooo slooooow. I measure only 1 1/4" total growth over the last 3 months. Back to the boycott!

February 1st, 2011, 06:59 PM
11 inches. That's a good inch, but last month I had an inch and a half; where'd it go?

February 1st, 2011, 07:21 PM
Checking in at 40.5" I have been growing a steady 1/2" a month for the last several months. :cheese: I'm almost at my goal of 43" :D

February 1st, 2011, 07:25 PM
I'm at 45 3/4 inches, so 1/2 inch growth. No slow down on the shedding still.

The past couple of measures were at 33.5" and I'm afraid to see that number again. I'm about to do a huge move and the stress may keep me here. I will measure in another month or so to reduce the amount of stress in at least ONE aspect of my life.... ::le sigh::

February 1st, 2011, 08:09 PM
I measured 26 inches from 25 inches from last month. I don't want to put my money on gaining an inch in one month, so lets say it's 25.75. lol.

February 1st, 2011, 08:41 PM
I can't remember the last time I trimmed... I should probably write this stuff down. Just measured my hair! I'm right on 47"! Only 3" to go for my next mini goal. :)

I feel like every time I measure my hair the average of the measurings is 31". Tonight my measurements were 30'', 31.5", and 30.75" so yet again my average length is 31". I have no split ends, my hair is in the best health it has ever been, yet I see no movement on the tape measure...I may boycott the tape for a while

February 1st, 2011, 09:39 PM
Measuring a wee bit over 38" I only change my profile when it goes up to full or half inches to make it easier for myself.
I've gained over 20" since joining here. My old fringe which was at eyebrow length in Jan 2008 is now at waist. Yaaaaay!

February 1st, 2011, 10:01 PM

It feels like it has grown more than 1/4 of an inch. I don't remember exactly when I measured last, but methinks it's been about a month. The March measure-in should be more telling...

February 2nd, 2011, 02:31 AM
Hmm. I didn't measure for a couple months, and even got (what felt like) a pretty significant trim, but my measurements keep coming up at 21! (+2 inches from November.)
It would be just my luck to have had a growth spurt and not even noticed. Not that I'm complaining! :D

February 2nd, 2011, 03:04 AM
DH helped me meassure this weekend and he got it to 76 cm or 30"... I'm really growing slow now :(

February 2nd, 2011, 04:45 AM
38.6" or 98 cm. I have not trimmed since joining the LHC. Planning to do so on my 1-year anniversary here:)

February 2nd, 2011, 05:28 AM
I had a one inch spurt which thrilled me no end because I get half an inch normally.

It has taken me to a solid 39". I can't wait to hit the 40s again!

February 2nd, 2011, 05:50 AM
I had a growth of a bit over 1 cm, but I trimmed it off right away, so I am still at 89 cm :)

February 2nd, 2011, 06:32 AM
I did a microtrim in the beginning of January (back to 50"). Today my hair is 50.75", so I gained 0.75".

February 2nd, 2011, 10:03 AM
35" Had a trim since my last measure in.

February 2nd, 2011, 10:23 AM
I'm at 46". :)

February 2nd, 2011, 12:27 PM

So same as start of Jan: No 'growth' (it grew, just lost longest couple hairs...again!).

February 2nd, 2011, 12:43 PM
I must be really short because last time i tried measuring i was just past BSL at 23 and 1/2 inches .

February 2nd, 2011, 12:49 PM
79cm or 30,7" so about 1 cm this month

February 2nd, 2011, 12:59 PM
29,7 inches :) Last time I was 29,1.

February 2nd, 2011, 01:05 PM
Had a trim then got hubby to measure, its 20"

February 2nd, 2011, 01:10 PM
I am currently at 30 inches if I measure from the front of my hairline :)

February 2nd, 2011, 01:18 PM
I gained .5". I am at 33.3" now.

February 2nd, 2011, 01:55 PM
I'm at 21.5. Hubby measured and I told him to do it the same exact way he did last month. Looks like my hair grew an inch. :cheese: Very cool.
I've been pretty good about oiling my scalp and applying Mega Tek before washes. I've also been wearing my hair up more.

I've recently started my supplementation again which includes a multivitamin with high Bs, MSM, and biotin (among others).

I like that not only has my hair grown quite a bit, my energy levels are great during the day. Also very cool. :)

February 2nd, 2011, 02:34 PM
22.5" ...boo not much growth

February 2nd, 2011, 06:06 PM
39" ...up from 38.25" last month :)

February 2nd, 2011, 06:15 PM
16.25 /sigh

February 7th, 2011, 07:34 PM
I'm still at 26 inches. I've hit a bit of a stall the past couple of months. Hopefully in spring I'll grow a little faster.

February 7th, 2011, 07:53 PM
23.5" pulled straight (my usual meathod) so up a teeny bit from last month.

February 8th, 2011, 08:08 AM
Well, I measured at the end of January (25th) for my official February length and it was 30 inches:)

February 8th, 2011, 11:03 AM
30" - I got back the whole inch I trimmed a month ago!!! Yesh. 3" or thereabout to waist!!

February 8th, 2011, 11:03 PM
I'm at 26.75", up .50" since last month :) I'll take it!

February 8th, 2011, 11:21 PM
I got to 30". W00t!

February 9th, 2011, 02:21 AM
23.75 And thats just about at BSL with me. I must have a short head or a really small torso.

February 9th, 2011, 03:31 AM
my hair grew only 1 cm. but I trimmed it off right away.

February 9th, 2011, 03:56 AM
I got 26", at BSL now. :) and three years ago I cut my dreadlocks away so my starting length was only 2"!

February 9th, 2011, 03:57 AM
29inches. I grew an inch since I last measured on 5th of Decemeber 2010 :cheese:

February 9th, 2011, 04:11 AM
Hiya. Im new to the forum. Just wondering whereabouts do you measure your hair from?

February 10th, 2011, 03:23 AM
44.5'', but I did trim in January. Pretty happy with that, can't wait for the next few inches though!

February 10th, 2011, 06:31 AM
Hiya. Im new to the forum. Just wondering whereabouts do you measure your hair from?

Welcome to the LHC :)
I measure from the hairline in the front and over the head on to the tips, like described in this article http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/vbjournal.php?do=article&articleid=9
