I have a Hair care question for all you lovely people...

I will be going to Tanzania for a month in April to Volunteer and teach English and I was wondering what you would all do if you won't have access to fresh water for hair washing, ill be living on a beach and worried about the damage sea water might do to my hair! any body have any tips to minimize the damage!?!

Thanks in advance :)

one - cover your hair. that will save on a lot of environmental damage, I'm thinking specifically UV damage. Tanzania is a tropical climate. you will be able to buy pretty scarves there for headcovering, and I'm certain the locals will be delighted to show you how to wear a headcovering and advise you on what would be mannerly to avoid.

april is a rainy season whenever you go. COLLECT RAINWATER. you can wash your hair in that. in fact the water will be quite soft, depending on what you're used to.
