Ok I am thinking about going dark, I know i have said how I hate my hair, and that I also didnt like it when it was dark so wanted it back blonde, thing is my roots are coming in quite dark now, and for some reason they look really dark, darker than normal against the colour I am now, so am thinking of going back darker.

Thing is, can hair turn green if you dye it to much? Its had blonde, red, dark then bleach again to go back blonde, but now I want to go back darker so that means going red then dark, can that make your hair go green?:confused::confused:

I dyed my hair alot of times in salon and DIY using hair dye box.
I bleached my hair once before and after 3 months I rebonded and dyed my hair brown. After that, I also dyed my hair a few times as well. My hair didn't turn green.

My natural hair colour is jet black.
Currently, some hair on my right side are blonde in colour and the rest are ash brown. Part of my fringe are burgundy.

I would recommend you to dye your hair at least every 3 months or best is drag till 6 months.
If you just dye your hair less than 3 months ago, redyeing your hair again wil make your hair very dry. Will it go green? I have 0 idea but your hair will definitely be very dry.

I feel for colouring, it is also greatly depending on the hairstylist skill, as well as the product they use. I like Loreal Professionnel hair colouring. I always go for this.

Let me say this about that: don't do it.

Roots will always look darker if they are growing in right next to abnormally-bright dyed hair (not trying to be mean or say you are abnormal, just that they brightness of dyed colour is usually far, far brighter than even the brightest, shiniest natural colour).

Don't dye it. Just leave it alone. You've had lots of advice about this in your other posts. *hugs* It's going to be a rough few weeks/months, but IMO it's best if you just leave your hair alone. It will grow, it will look nice again. But, IMO, the more you try to fix it at this stage, the worse things are going to get...

I have no personal experience with hair dye, but just an idea on color: since you have gone blonde and dark and red and not been happy with any of them, what about something in the middle? a warm medium brown for instance? Just a thought. Good luck!

This is why I said "don't do it."

I went from blonde to very dark with a DIY dye. And when it was new and fresh, it was beautiful, and I totally loved it. After six or so shampoos...my hair really did turn green. AWFUL. I had to go t a salon to have it corrected, and the process was definitely not a good ordeal to suffer through. I recommend leaving it alone, doing some good moisturizing treatments, and bunning it up for a few months, then reevaluating the color of your new growth. If you decide you want to go darker then, consult a color specialist at a salon, and make sure it is a color specialist, not just someone who took the regular course in color treatments. S/he will be able to get you where you want to go. :flower:

I know it sucks, but be patient - because I can tell you from personal experience, I wish to god(dess)(e)(s) I had been patient then. Green hair is just AWFUL. :(

Thats why they dye it red first though to stop it from going green, i went and spoke to the colour specialist today.

I am leaving it for a couple months but then i have graduation in 4months and I dont think i want 2-toned hair for those pictures.....

I also invested in a very good hair treatment so hopefully my hair will be in good condition soon :)

Do not do it.

I have read your drama with your haircolor.
Unfortunately I did not have time over you to answer at that time.

I has the impression you at this time is very emotional.

That is not to be done good time around large changes.

I thinks for making such decisions one only is if one again in its center rests and is emotional strengthened.

Otherwise you provoke the next disaster hair.

Wait better still some time off before you decide.

And you do it only if you are completely safe which you really want.:)
